Pearson Vue Trick 2015 Latest

Updated:   Published

Hi Everyone,

First, I just want to thank everyone that comes to this website to share his or her experience. This website literally keeps people alive and going during some tough times. You might not know it, but there are tens of people out there that quote this website each day.

My journey with the Nclex-RN in California started on the 2th of December. I took the Nclex, I went home and tried the PVT, and it gave me the good pop-up. 24 hours and 4 days later, I was still getting the good pop-up. A week passed and no result or license, I was anxious to say the least, as some of my classmates got their license within 48 - 72 hours after taking the exam.

I always came to this website to get some courage as the weeks rolled by. Finally on 31st of December, I got my license. The long wait was over.

My main reason of writing today is that through my experience, I found out that the pearson vue trick is not a trick. It is the way the computer is programmed. If one fails the Nclex, it will take your money or decline your card accordingly (for insufficient funds or being invalid). The so called trick works perfectly.

Secondly, If you live in California, and you get the good pop-up after 24 hours of taking the Nclex, you passed. The waiting time has to do with the BRN taking so much time to process files. Keep strong and keep faith, you will get your license.

I find it hard to be coincidental when 40 plus people take the test and all but one get the good pop up screen and the one who didn't got their credit card charged. Everyone who got the good pop up passed and the one who failed got charged. Not coincidental. I believe that the trick works.

Do you know how the scoring works? Do you know the reason why everyone is saying wait until after 24 hours?

I know exactly how the scoring works. It is scored twice.

Yes, with the second usually being around 24 hours after the first. Therefore, it was a coincidence that all ~40 students got "accurate" results doing the PVT so quickly after testing, because the tests you all took were not finished being scored. Literally, it was impossible to get an accurate result because no actual, completed result existed yet.

Correction, it is 48 hrs from the time you start your test. If you start your test at 0800. In 48hrs at 0800 you quick results will be available.

NO, it is from completion. There have been times when it was available at 45, 46 hours post test-completion, but the overwhelming majority of the time it is 48 (from completion). Getting results earlier than that is wonderful, but NOT to be expected. Most people report results smack-on the 48 hour mark, some at 45ish. Luck of the draw.

When discussing several thousand people, then yes, 40 isn't much of a study group. You can believe what you like, honestly, it really doesn't matter. I'm sure those who have had very different experiences with the PVT would disagree with your "accuracy" assessment, however.

I took the NCLEX on June 2nd. 75 questions and the testing took me about 45 min with check in and check out I was there from about 1630-1730. I took the test in Kentucky and the board of nursing had my license up on the their web site 15 hours (about 0830-0900) after I completed the test. They then sent me an email 12 hours (email time stamp 1623) after it was posted on the website confirming that I my license had been issued, expiration date, and all that good stuff. If you are taking the test in Kentucky and getting your license through KY I would just wait until they(KY not Pearson Vue) post your results. If you take your test on Friday this timeline may not be the same for you. Again this is only for Kentucky.

Wow, how great that they are this fast! In your case, the QA review of the original score was also done quickly (which is how you found out in 15 hours!). Sometimes it'll take the full 24 before PV notifies the BoN, in which case everyone's at their mercy until it's done :(

Congrats, btw!

Yes I did the PVT after 24 hours and got the good pop up and passed.

Maybe. Depends on when your BoN posts results. The pvt is nothing more than a registration glitch and neither official nor 100% accurate.
