Part 1 (the original thread)--
Pearsonvue "Trick". Is this TRUE? Does it Work Every Time?
Poll to take once you have received your response--
Pearson Vue Trick - Poll once you receive your results
Here are the exact steps to see if you passed or failed the NCLEX exam on the pearson vue web site:
1) go to http://www.vue.com/NCLEX.
2) select the 'test taker services' tab at the top.
3) click 'register' on the right side.
4) click the 'credit card' link.
5) click the 'sign in' link in the second sentence.
6) enter your username.
7) enter your password.
? click the button.
9) click 'register' on the left side.
10) select your test type.
11) click the button.
12) select your country.
13) click the button.
14) answer the yes/no questions.
15) select your country again.
16) select your state.
17) type in your city.
18) click the button. a list of schools should appear.
19) select your school.
20) select the month and year of your graduation.
21) select your board of nursing.
22) click the button.
Very important: at this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; It just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.
Your pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick
I did pearson vue and it states that a new registration cannot be created this time that I currently have an open registrationIs this the good pop up?
Please say yes!
Freaking out stopped at 75 omg! I feel I did horrible as every one does
Merged with existing thread because you are asking about the Pearsonvue Trick
I worked for me. Long 9days of agony... it is OVER!!!!
Got good pop-up for 9 days. Since I live in CA, there is no way to find out until (1) you see your name on the BRN website or (2) get a letter stating "PASS".
For me, I didn't see my name on the web. That is because BRN did not have one of my information to issue out the license.
I have been calling BRN for the past 3 days to find out what is going on and most of them told me that I will get my result in the mail in 2-4 wks. OMG... I thought I failed. I was cut off at 75 questions and felt horrible. I didn't think that I'll get 75 questions... maybe 100.
Yesterday when I called BRN, they told me that because of missing information, I'll get my license once they get copy of my info. I feel like 1000lbs of wt is lifted from my chest and I can breath.
For those who just took the test... my advise would be... just try to relax and keep yourself busy. I know how it feels... I had it for 9 days. I kept thinking myself that PVT is 99.99% accurate (I only saw 2 person who got the 'good' pop-up and failed out of 10,000+ messages listed here at allnurses.com).
Once again, congrats to those who passed and good luck to those who will be taking NCLEX.
Hello all,
I've been reading this forum since I started nursing and I've never posted. I used the Pearson Vue Trick and got the good message and passed! I had three SATA, maybe 12 drugs, lots of prioritization and infection control. It took 2 hours for 75 questions. I felt that I failed, that there was no way I passed. But I passed! And all of you can too. This feeling is beyond anything words can explain. I used Kaplan NCLEX course and the Kaplan 300 drugs cards. It was helpful for strategies to answer questions when you had no idea what was happening. Kaplan also has thousands of practice tests. I did 50 questions per day and studied 1 drug class per day. I think a prep course is a good investment because you never had a test like this in your life. I hope this can be helpful to someone.

could it be that your friend did the trick too early? and that she never checked on it again to see if it gives her a good pop up before getting her official result?
It's funny, I got the good pop up when I got home from the exam, and when I tried it again in the morning it gave me the bad pop-up. I ended at 75 questions and it all seemed a little too easy, like the questions weren't getting any more difficult. Oh well. I have a feeling I failed and will be right there with my brethren taking the exam again.
I took the exam yesterday and tried the PVT Trick when I got home and I got the good pop up. I woke up this morning and wanted to check just one more time and I was sent to the CC screen. So what the heck does that mean? Did I pass? Did I fail? I guess I have to wait till Monday to be sure but man this is serious mind game.
2 friends and I took the exam today, 2 of us got the good pop up and 1 of us didnt. 2 of us had to answer all 205 questions (PN Exam) and one of us didnt. Please please give us some advice because one of us is really trippin'. If this is really true then one of us will be taking the exam over. We all were good students in school. We went to the BON website to check on our temp licenses, and they are all still active. Whats that all about. We called our instructors and told them about this and they insist that we not worry about that. But yet no one has proven it wrong, and we also asked another girl what happened when she tried the trick, she "CLAIMS" that it let her reregister and she still passed, but she is not one to lie about something like this. She also likes to boasts on her achievements (which there is nothing wrong with that) but we would like to know the absolute truth. Guess when we we get our official results then we'll know how true the trick really is. Congrats to all of us that passed, and if you didnt, then hey take it again, cause going to school that long you dont want to throw it away.

how many hours after the exam did you try the trick? maybe it was too soon?.. that's also what i felt, the exam was easy, not getting too difficult. my friend told me that that's not a good sign. well, goodluck with your results=)
