Part 1 (the original thread)--

Pearsonvue "Trick". Is this TRUE? Does it Work Every Time?

Poll to take once you have received your response--

Pearson Vue Trick - Poll once you receive your results

Here are the exact steps to see if you passed or failed the NCLEX exam on the pearson vue web site:

1) go to http://www.vue.com/NCLEX.

2) select the 'test taker services' tab at the top.

3) click 'register' on the right side.

4) click the 'credit card' link.

5) click the 'sign in' link in the second sentence.

6) enter your username.

7) enter your password.

? click the button.

9) click 'register' on the left side.

10) select your test type.

11) click the button.

12) select your country.

13) click the button.

14) answer the yes/no questions.

15) select your country again.

16) select your state.

17) type in your city.

18) click the button. a list of schools should appear.

19) select your school.

20) select the month and year of your graduation.

21) select your board of nursing.

22) click the button.

Very important: at this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; It just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.

Your pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick

This worked for me. I tried it about 2 hours after testing (it said "Delivery Successful") I got the good pop-up & I just checked the Washington BON and I am now officially an RN!!!!!!

I am still terrified. I don't want to wait 2 days to find out! And is that 2 business days, or just 48 hours? UGH! This was definitely the worst thing I've ever done!

Traveled from Pearland, TX to Austin, TX because I didn't want to wait any longer to be an RN. Took my exam ... 75 questions only. That was a nightmare. I had many SATA, pharm, math, and disease processes that were understudied in nursing school with a few "term" or names for diseases I never heard:jester:, nor learned about. 15 questions into it I wanted to walk out. I sat through it but felt very let down by my nursing program for being so under prepared:mad:. I was mostly an 'A' student. Pretty book smart. Test very well. This exam ... I felt like I was sitting down taking an exam as an entry test into a field I knew nothing of. Some of the terms used in calculations I had never heard of so I didn't even know what to calculate. To put is short --- this was my nightmare of an exam. It was questions that I never thought I would get. So, I plan on letting my med surg instructors at school know that they better step up what they are teaching because what I was tested on -- I NEVER LEARNED ABOUT IT IN SCHOOL:down:. I got the good pop up. I was convinced I failed. But hey--- its not so bad being an LVN:nurse:. So ... I'm just waiting for the official notice if I passed or failed. :heartbeat

I feel ya, and am in the same boat! I got a ton of things we never learned about in school. I got way more SATA questions they they said we should get - they said only about 10% would be SATA, and I had 20-25 out of 75 questions. I didn't get any of the meds or labs they said we should know, the "common ones the NCLEX likes to test on". I definitely plan on letting my school know too. I hope my official results show up quickly! I got the good popup too, but cannot see how!

how long should i wait until i check pvt? i took the exam this morning

So took the NCLEX PN on Dec 14th in CA....got the good pop up....today found out I passed!!!! the trick works!!!:nurse::yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah:

Yeah! I took the NCLEX-PN Wednesday and did the PVT trick, got the good pop-up. Saw my name and license number on the board this morning..

Took my NCLEX-RN at 8am this morning. I had 75 questions and it took me an hour and a half. I visited my mom on the way back home and did the PVT at around noon. Got the good pop up, but I'm still skeptical. I'll be back on Monday to tell yall if it worked for me!

I was also wondering, is there supposedly any bearing on when you do the trick. Is there a minimum wait time? I did it only hours after, but I've seen people on here that did it days after...

I took my NCLEX this morning at 8:00 and it shut off after 85 questions. My anxiety is through the roof for lack of a better term. I googled around to try and ease my anxiety/apprehension about the number of questions to no avail. I found the link to this "trick" and followed the steps and received the "good" pop up. I so hope that this is in fact true, as I don't think my blood pressure can hold out at the level it has been since I left the testing facility. I will post my official results as soon as they become available. I wish everyone luck and thanks for the information concerning this trick.

It worked for me! I got my license number this morning!!!! I'm a nurse!!!!!!
