  1. I got in! I received my letter the a couple of weeks ago. Orientation was held last Friday, and classes start in August. I was placed in the day program. I selected "either" on my application. @jess, the advance placement program is for LPNs. I get placed in the 3rd semester of the program, so I only have to do 3rd and 4th semester then I graduate. They count my LPN experience as credit for the first 2 semesters. Did anyone else hear anything yet?
  2. I would get an LPN book to prepare for LPN school. While most content is the same, there are differences as far as scope of practice and things like that.
  3. I say do it. You only live once, and you may end up regretting it later on in life if you don't follow your dreams. Yes, the economy sucks right now, but I highly doubt that once you graduate that you will never be able to find a job. If worse comes to worst, you always have your previous career and experience to fall back on. Good luck!
  4. I am having a difficult time finding a job. I graduated in November, passed the NCLEX the first week of January, and I finally have my first job interview today. There are tons of ads for jobs around here (Delaware) but everyone wants experience. I'm crossing my fingers for this one because I really need a job! Good luck to you!
  5. Advanced placement LPNs only have to do the last 2 semesters of the program. They give you credit for the first 2 semesters for having your LPN license. So I would graduate May 2012. Good luck to you too!
  6. I applied for Fall clinicals for Terry Campus! Application deadline is tomorrow. I'm so excited! I hope I make it. BTW, I'm an LPN so I'm doing advanced placement. :)
  7. I just finished AP1. I'm taking AP2 and Micro together this semester. I got an A in AP1. I didn't think it was that bad. You know yourself. If you think you can handle both, do it!
  8. It worked for me! I got my license number this morning!!!! I'm a nurse!!!!!!
  9. You have to wait until your status says "Delivery Successful". This took about 4 hours after I finished my test for the status to change. Good luck!!! I took my test this morning, waited for Delivery Successful, and did the PVT. Got the "Our records indicate..." message. I took the PN and it shut off at 85 questions. Hope it means I passed!!!
  10. I'm taking AP1 right now at Stanton campus. I'll be taking the NLN in January. You can take your pre-reqs at Stanton and then switch when it's time to rank. Good luck to you!
  11. I live in Bear, and it will be about a 40 min commute for me. I met with an advisor, and she told me that they do a bunch of their clinicals at Christiana, which make it a little better. I prefer Terry because you get in faster. I'm hoping to get in next fall. Stanton I wouldn't get a seat until 2013 at the earliest.
  12. I sent u an email! :)
  13. Anybody? I would love to chat with you! Please PM me or reply to this thread.
  14. Hello all, I'm an LPN student who will graduate in November and take the NCLEX short after. When should I start applying for jobs? After I graduate? After I pass (hopefully!) the NCLEX? Any advice is greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!!!
