I do have one, but don't use it that much. That is an error on my part, because it is to my advantage to utilize a PDA now that I am a nurse. I think that the aggreviating part about them is to have to continously recharge them. I noticed the other day that physicians use them last week, and it is making me change my mind and begin to pull mine out, again.

I have one since I started my LVN program last year (reduced the bulk of my backpack by 2 books - Taber's dictionary and Davis' Drug Guide) and now, working as an LVN in a Long-Term care / Rehab gave me an advantage having a PDA since I use it before calling DRs., anticipating any med or lab test orders. It served me well and worth it.
What kind do you think is the best for the $$$. I dont really want a cell phone one...because I am litteraly married to my cell phone contract I am in. Once this year is up I am getting divorced;)

My husband bought me a palm TX for our 25th anniversary (well...the case is silver color LOL) along with some programs from skyscape .
I use the the drug guide most, with Tabers a 2nd. Nearly every day I look up something, and it's sooooo much faster than the books.
sigh--I *really* wanted a cruise to Alaska....

I know one PN who has one and she is a tech junkie. So it's her baby, so to speak.
My unit has a computer with pharmacy access, internet access, and the hospital system on it, so we don't need one to carry around on the units.

I have the Palm TX, bought it off eBay brand new for $200 . You can find them on eBay if you care to do the legwork (or... fingerwork ) I absolutely love it!!! There is a bundle package on Skyscape that has just about everything in it you should need, as I'm an LPN and I use it everyday in LTC. It's about $90 though, well worth it!!!

I have a Palm TX and I use it daily at work. It is handy to look up questions on meds and generic names. There's many other features you can get, I have a dictionary that comes in very handy when I run across something I need to look up.

I just purchased a Palm TX for 171.00 + 10.00 for shipping on E-Bay. The guy said it was an open box but un-used and he thru in a new 2gig palm memory card with it. Now I am looking for software. Thanks to all for the info on Programs. Think I am going to go with Davis but I am trying to get the book and software Palm software as a package. Can't find it anyone know where I can get it in a bundle?
