PBSC/PBCC August 2010

Published

Hi!

The PBSC/PBCC thread is getting a tad crowded so I figure now is as good a time as any to get the prospective students thread going.

Good luck to everyone!

I really hope that tomorrow is the day. I need to know.

Today is the day!

me three! haha! Congrats,:yeah: guys!

Me too. Congrats to everyone!!

This was the most competitive application process yet, with the highest points ever. We all have a lot to be proud of.

Now, it's loan time. :p

I just got accepted also guys. Congratulations to everyone!

Hey all,

Has it sunk in yet? We're going to be starting in about two months!

Anyone considering taking evening clinicals?

My bank account sure knows I got accepted, especially since I just found out the 3 titers are going to cost me $575 !!!

Ugh, I know. I actually had titers done to apply to an LPN program (backup to my backup plan) so I don't have to pay for those again. However, since the physical I took was more than six months ago - by 12 days, mind you- I get to pay for that again plus the PPD and the inevitable chest x-ray.

I took evening clinicals last semester and really enjoyed them.

Congrads everyone.

Wow. Why so much? I've been calling around different places like my doctor's office, Solantic, MD Now, Palm Beach County Health Dept. The county referred me to this place called Hope's Health & Wellness @ 655 N. Military, West Palm Beach. They were the lowest quote I found for a physical exam, the 3 titers, PPD, and the Hepatitis B Series shots (3 Hepatitis shots in all) totaling $270. Call them and check it out...561-686-0120. Mention that you're going to be a PBSC Nursing student in the fall and they should quote you $270.

I got my insurance company to pay for it after all. I already have all the shots, so now I'm basically done. I did the drug screen and background, and i have my CPR scheduled for next week then the HESI the week following. Then, all that's left to do is buy the books.
