Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of study for the nurse Procalc and the NLN entrance exam for PBCC fall nursing program.

I read on line that this school works on a point system

I was wondering if anyone who has been accepted to the program

(past/Present) student: HOW MANY POINTS DID YOU HAVE TO

WHEN ACCEPTED TO THE PROGRAM.

Anyone with info about the program, would be helpful.

I also got the confirmation email. I guess we just wait for "official notification and documentation" at this point. I don't think they are expecting a reply yet.

On the NLN... the only thing that pushed me into the 90-100 percentile (to receive the full 10 points) was the fact that I overstudied for the physics portion. I put all the physics words onto flash cards. I also studied vocabulary from the Princeton Word guide.

Anybody thats already at Belle Glade have any suggestions on teachers?? I know you cant type them on here but if you could message them to me that would be awesome! I will be going into first semester in Jan.

Hi everyone. I got into day program as well at Lake Worth. I am very excited and a little scared. Would anyone want to form a study group once we get our packet and class infomation? I know I need a jump start if I am going to keep up.

:anpom:Congratulations :balloons:to everyone who got accepted into the PBCC nursing program. Unfortunately I did not make it into the Belle Glade program:cry:.... But can anyone tell me whether or not they are planning on not going to Belle Glade ...if you got accepted to another school or something... please. Hi Purplevega,

I'm interested in a study group as well. Where do you live? I am in Delray.

Also, I got the email today regarding the registration dates. It says that we can start registering Nov. 4, but my own Pantherweb registration calender says that I can't register until Nov. 9. Did anyone else encounter this problem, or know who I should contact to fix it?

My calendar says Nov. 9th as well. Perhaps that just pertained to us before we got accepted into the program? I'm not sure. I don't know whether to wait until Nov. 4th or ask Registration about it now. I'm thinking Nov. 4th are for those in the limited access program, and it just hasn't registered on our PBCC accounts yet (on the calendar). Not sure.

Hello to everyone on this thread. Congratulations to those who made it. To those who didnt keep trying! I too was denied my first time around but feel blessed and honored to have made the cut for Lake Worth Day.

Skittles & Lexib..Dont wait until registration begins. Classes fill up quickly and if you have been accepted to a limited access program your status should reflect an earlier registration. Call the advisor listed in your acceptance email I'm sure they would be able to help. Good Luck.

LexiB- I live in Lake Worth. Lets keep in contact and start a study group asap. I have been working with the same 2 ladies for the last 18 months but one is in part time and one did not get accepted. I would love to have a new study buddy as I really need to talk out concepts with another person.

Has everyone taken Pharm? I am taking NUR2140 right now and find it very interesting. I am so excited I love all the medical/science stuff.

Has anyone gotten there packet? I just got an email with my class list but nothing else. I am set to register on the 4th at midnight.

For those of you taking full time at Lake Worth are you planning on taking your lecture online or in class? Why did you pick what you did. Anyone else who has already taken 1st semester please lmk what your recommendation is on that subject as well.

Kim, Hello again. I guess we can't send private messages until we've posted 15 times, so I'm trying to come up with a way to get you my email address.

No, I haven't taken Pharm yet. I plan on taking it online next semester. I am also planning on taking lecture online, for a few reasons. First, to give me more flexibility with my schedule. Second, I've read on this thread that it is not necessary to take it in person, and the online version gives you access to all the notes. Last, I have taken quite a few online classes in the past, and have had success.

I have yet to receive more than the class schedule email as well. Regarding my registration date (Nov. 9), I've contacted Registration, who connected me with the Nursing department. I spoke with someone there yesterday who took down my information and told me she'd email me.
