Hi everyone,
I'm in the process of study for the nurse Procalc and the NLN entrance exam for PBCC fall nursing program.
I read on line that this school works on a point system
I was wondering if anyone who has been accepted to the program
(past/Present) student: HOW MANY POINTS DID YOU HAVE TO
WHEN ACCEPTED TO THE PROGRAM.
Anyone with info about the program, would be helpful.
Thanks
Thank you BBLisa. It is very discouraging. I had enough points to get accepted to Belle Glade, but I really didn't want to go there. Too bad of an area and I worry if I broke down over there or something. What did you get on the NLN the first time? I ran out of time because I had to keep going to the restroom...being preg does that to you.
Congrats to you too! I didn't get into FAU last spring so I am so excited about getting into this one. I even drove 10 hours to Dalton, Georgia to take the NLN, so it is definitely a relief to get in.
I haven't received the email yet. I did the PBCC EMT program over the summer, and I'm sure they are similar in their requirements: Employment verification, Physical Exam, Blood test, Drug test (urine), uniforms, CPR card, books, supplies, etc. Of course, I'm not going to start until I get the specifics for Nursing. I think we'll also have some sort of an orientation before January.
Let me know if you hear anything, and I'll do the same
"If you want so really good study tips, I will provide you with one of the most renowed names in the Allied Health building at PBCC Lake Worth: *******. She is one of the best professors who delivers information in a clear, concise, matter-of-fact manner with analogies to boot."
If you wouldn't mind naming this person as a resource. I have a little time off to prepare for Spring 2010 and would like all the help available. Thanks in advance.

just a reminder....... the terms of service does not permit posting names of instructors on the public board. this type of information should be communicated via private messages. members can send private messages once they have 15 posts.
thanks!

The only class that I didn't take for points is the nutrition class because over the summer it was already full when I tried to register and this term I didn't take it because it wouldn't have counted towards the spring class anyways. I might take that and retake the NLN even though I thought the 88 I got should've been high enough.
I knew the cut off because in the denial email that they sent me, it said it in there. You can always call them and ask what the cut off was too. Do you have a bachelors already in something else? I think that is one of the reasons that it is so competitive is because people with higher degrees get a lot of extra points.
