PBCC-palm beach comm. college

Published

Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of study for the nurse Procalc and the NLN entrance exam for PBCC fall nursing program.

I read on line that this school works on a point system

I was wondering if anyone who has been accepted to the program

(past/Present) student: HOW MANY POINTS DID YOU HAVE TO

WHEN ACCEPTED TO THE PROGRAM.

Anyone with info about the program, would be helpful.

Thanks

To anyone accepted to the Fall '09 term...have any of you received the info packet via your PBCC email yet?

I've not received one either. E-mial stated on or before the 30th....Guess it's gonna be tomorrow.

No I haven't received anything yet. I was just checking with you guys. Guess maybe tomorrow.

Mystical0217, Is it true that the Belle Glade program doesn't fill up that fast? What do you think of Belle Glade and the professors?

jentrbo , jdfflats & poppimiguel i received an email, today actually a few minutes ago, but i'm not able to open the attachment. did you get it as well?

hi proudtobeamom,

jentrbo , jdfflats & poppimiguel i received an email, today actually a few minutes ago, but i'm not able to open the attachment. did you get it as well?

i did get mine. you should have gotten a 2nd e-mail with the correct file attached. my 2nd e-mail came into my spam though. so, make sure you check your spam.

Thanks for the response about Pharm. books, navygrl!

I got the Nursing Packet email as well.

I am new to this website, and thought I would post...I received my email packet today! So much to do! What type of stethoscope do you recommend or have heard is a good one? I am going to be purchasing mine soon but want to make sure I spend money on a good one. Thank you!:D

hi browneyedgirl*84,

welcome to the forum!

this topic has been covered very well on other threads. check out the following.

https://allnurses.com/nursing-stethoscope/

i'm looking into the littman cardiology iii, which can be pricey and also a bit heavier. but, it seems quite a few people absolutely love theirs and i believe that it is worth the investment for something i will be using daily to help me perform to the best of my ability. (provided i don't lose it, or it walks away....)

also, i chose the littman cardiology iii, because the good reviews seemed to outnumber the bad ones.

the littmann classic se-ii, is more reasonably priced, and seems a great starter scope, from what i've read.

several people say to buy the cheap ones because your scope might "walk away", or they claim not to notice a difference in sound quality between the cheapies and the expensive ones.

if you're going to spend hard earned money on a quality scope, i would definitely have it engraved.

also, littman is not the only brand out there. take the time and read some of the posts. they may sway you in a different direction.

as for my email packet, i'm gonna have to wait as the pbcc site is currently down for maintenance.

again, welcome and i hope this info helps!
