PBCC-palm beach comm. college

Published

Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of study for the nurse Procalc and the NLN entrance exam for PBCC fall nursing program.

I read on line that this school works on a point system

I was wondering if anyone who has been accepted to the program

(past/Present) student: HOW MANY POINTS DID YOU HAVE TO

WHEN ACCEPTED TO THE PROGRAM.

Anyone with info about the program, would be helpful.

Thanks

I received my email packet as well There's so much to do!

proudtobeamom,h_2_o,

i have not recieved mine yet..... did your packets show up in your spam, as jdfflats suggested in an earlier post?

Still have not recieved mine either. Maybe today, I hope. I feel like I am on pins & needles waiting on everything concerned with this program:( First the dreaded nln results and then waiting to see if I was accepted. I have never been so obsessed with checking my email. I think I need to get a life

If you haven't gotten a packet, I'd give them a call, simply because there's a lot of stuff to do in this packet.

One suprise in there is a "7-year Employment Verification" they make you do. You gotta list info for all the jobs you've worked in the past 7 years. The first verification is free, then you're charged $10 for every other verification. I was told this is required for all students in health programs.

Not sure how my employment history is relevant, which is a little frustrating cause that alone is gonna cost $100... 11 full time and part time jobs over the past 7 years....:uhoh3::o Sheesh.

Ouch! Yeah, that could get expensive. Thanks for the heads up. I e-mailed the Admissions Specialist, about not getting my packet, and she replyed that the Nursing Dept. would be sending out the packets. She gave me a number to call. Best believe, I'll be calling it.

Yeah, it's best to keep them on thier toes. Otherwise things don't get done.

Physicals, BLS CPR certification, background check, basically everything must be complete and on file by Aug. 6.

I had to call & have them try and send it twice before I finally got it. Give the nursing office a call if anyone has not recieved it yet.

I received my packet yesterday. I couldn't open the first email's attachment but shortly after a second email was sent out and I was able to open that attachment with no problem.

Lots to do huh?

Finally got my packet,(after a call).

Yeah! lots to do. Can't remember the last time I was up on my titers and shots. I really look forward to being a human pin cushion (yeah right). BUT...better safe than sorry, all types of nasty bugs 'runnen-round out there.
