Passed The Psb!! Upmc Shadyside

I have been freaking out for the past two months studying for the PSB. I took it on 8/29/08 for admittance to UPMC Shadyside. Well I just got my results back.....99 percentile for verbal, 99 for math, 99 for reading comp, and 98 for natural sciences!!!!:loveya:I'm shocked!!! I started hardly knowing anything about natural sciences!!! I've been out of school for a while. I'm really ecstatic. If anyone has any questions about the test, I'd be happy to answer them. Also, with my test results, are my chances pretty high for getting into Shadyside? Thanks!

Lol. well the powers that be took the entire matter out of my hands this morning. Apparantly a slot opened up for the Spring 09 class and it is going to be offered to me Natalie sent me an email this morning saying to be on the lookout for the package so i am over here jumping for joy right now. i just want to once again thank everyone for all the information and taking the time to answer my post.

I just received my letter in the mail and found out I'm getting in the full time spring semester!!! I'm so happy! Sounds like I'll see some of you in March - I'll be the old one there. :)

You guys might be surprised. Seemed like upper 20's to low 30's was about the average age for my class (grad June '08). I was 54 when I started and wasn't the oldest in my class though the classes following our seemed somewhat younger. A lot of the class were starting second careers.

My mother also is taking this course and she is 44, I however am 21. From what she told me, there are many "younger" students, but more "older" than she thought would be there.

Actually i am going to the one on the 7th. there is so much to get done and not much time til the feb deadline that i want to get started ASAP. as it turns out i ended up having to go see natalie today to get my acceptance letter and packet because it had never shown up for some reason. oh and dont forget to look good that day since you have to take your id pictures before the information session...lol

so of course what shows up in the mail today? the packet natalie sent out weeks ago....lmao.. well i should say part of it showed up!!!! the rest i am sure is in the jaws of some giant sorting machine at the post office... at any rate all's well that ends well. :chuckle

I had problems with my packet too. I got it on December 8th and you had to have the acceptance letter in to them by the 12th! I had to overnight it to make sure that I got it in on time. Good luck at your information session! See you in march.

well it is good that you got it in time to respond by the deadline... since i only live about a 3 min drive from the school she just had me come in and fill everything out, i am glad she is so helpful.
