I want to share my story with everyone out there who thinks the CNO will not allow a 4th write. I graduated from BScN program in 2011, I wrote my exam 3 times and failed by just a few marks each time and thought my nursing dreams were over. It was my mothers idea for me to write the CNO a letter requesting a 4th attempt. I called the CNO and spoke with a lady who was extremely helpful she explained to me you cannot have a 4th write BUT you can request one of your exams to be "nulled". So I faxed a letter requesting another 3rd write. In the mean time I was filling out paper work to write my CPNRE (RPN exam). I received good news I was allowed to write my RPN exam and was granted a 2nd attempted on a 3rd write ( in other words a 4th write). I wrote my RPN exam in Oct 2013 and my RN exam in Nov 2013. I didn't tell anyone I was writing so I had no pressure or test anxiety and was success on both exams!
Hi Ontario.rn, I am in the same situation now. I believe that nursing is for me, it is my passion and my dream. I do not want to give up on becoming an RN. Unfortunately, I have been struggling over stress anxiety for many years and have denied it to myself. Starting from high school, through my Biology degree and now my nursing degree - taking tests was the most terrifying situations that I have ever faced. I am upset at myself for not dealing with this situation earlier, as I have to pay the price now that has destroyed my dreams on becoming an RN. I would like to get in contact with you, Ontario.rn, if you could please email me at [email protected]. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
Hi Ontario.rn
I also failed my CRNE 3 times. I'm in the process of writing an appeal letter to the registration committee because I know I would be a great nurse I graduated the program with a 4.0 I am very knowledgeable and when working under my temporary license my coworkers love me and thought I was a great nurse. I simply had a few questions for you about the appeal process if you can contact me by email at [email protected] I would greatly appreciate it
thank you.
Hi guys, I went through the same thing you guys are going through. I have failed in passing the CRNE and since the CRNE was now changed to NCLEX this year I was also did the exam last January. It has been such a painful and depressing moment for me. I feel so ashamed, angry and frustrated at myself and of the situation. I am feeling quite loss of words and ideas as to what I should do next. I know there isn't a lot of people I can trully relate to about this situation. I would love to talk to one of you guys and get their advice/ help as to what you did.
Hi Ontario.rn
I am also facing the same situation and feeling absolutely embarrassed, frustrated and depressed. However, I do not want to give up on my dreams of becoming an RN and currently working on my appeal letter to the registration committee. I would love to hear from you in regards to how you managed to get your test "nullified" and the appeal process in general. If you can contact me at [email protected], I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
Because the exam has changed to NCLE and plenty of study material can be found in our https://allnurses.com/nclex-discussion-forum/ I am going to close this thread
