Pasadena city college nursing school

I was looking at the PCC nursing school brochure and it said that upon acceptance of nursing school, they take the grade point average of the required prerequisite courses only. Does this mean that every other class that I took and received a grade for has no effect on their decision to accept me or not? Thank you very much

may i ask what grades,etc did it take u to get into lvn, or was it just based on completion of pre reqs to get into pcc lvn program? i know its a different story for the rn program....im asking cause i just applied to lvn at pcc last month and wanna know my chances of getting in???? thank u!!!!:)

Hello All, I had another question (and i used to know this but with my recent hectic schedule, I've forgotten) do you have to have the TEAS completed in order to be excepted into the program. Or can you simply transfer over a TEAS test that you've already taken.? Thanks in advance,.

If my memory serves me correct, you take the TEAS AFTER you have been accepted. Im not sure if PCC will accept previous scores or not. I think you should just be prepared to take it again anyway, once you are accepted. Good luck!!

When I applied for the Fall 2007 RN program, I got my acceptance letter at the end of May. So as I approached the end of the semester for my last GE class, I already knew I was in for the upcoming semester. I had the summer to party up before I gave my life away to that school. Thankfully, they gave it back to me (and more) after the program was over.

I e-mails PCC RN and they said they will be letting people know the end of next month. Good luck to us all. I really hope i get in, if not, it's on to the back up plan (Rad Tech)

I am awaiting reply for PCC fall 2010 acceptance as well. I just read all these replies....hmmm...end of May? That is brutal. Their RN brochure stated they would notify students of their status via email 10-12 weeks after application close. Application deadline was Feb 20. So that means it's been over 10 weeks already. I've been checking my email like crazy and still nothing. Today my spouse told me to stop checking so frequently and that "a watched pot never boils".... ahhhh! lol

I received a letter from Citrus College last week & I'm on their alternate list. I've heard previously that a 4.0 science GPA will pretty much "guarantee" a person's acceptance (at Citrus or PCC). But I guess that doesn't cut it anymore.
