Pasadena city college nursing school
Hello everyone, and congrats to those recently accepted into the career ladder program. The course is pretty easy, alot of information to take in a short time and also trying to get yourself out of the mind-set of an VN. You can do it, just read your book. Its not a fun read by any means, but you will learn somethings. Good luck to you all and I hope to see you and become apart of the "career ladder" clan in the fall!!!

Im sure if you have completed eveything already it will make you a more competitive candidate. They want someone who is going to start and finish and be successful. If you have taken all the other courses required and passed them successfully with A's and B's, I think you will get in.....

More to learn, I am getting ready to start the bridge program in September. What advice if any do you have for me entering into the 3rd semester. I have been a VN for 2 years, and Im STILL beyond nervous about the transition. IDK what I am going to do!! LoL. I took the transition course already and had to defer my acceptance until the fall. Im already preparing to cut my hours and resign from my other job entirely when Fall semester starts. What else can I or should I be doing this summer to get myself ready? Also, what site are you doing clinicals at? How is your instructor? recommend or no? I want to go to Methodist when I get to 4th semester. I had the instructor that teaches there for my transition course during the winter session and she is tough, but I think I would be able to learn a lot from her. Any and ALL advice, study guides made in class or any other information you would like to share would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and BEST OF LUCK on your completion. Im going to tell you congrats ahead of time because Im sure if you made it that far, you are ready to finish in a few weeks!!!

acceptance letter for elcamino college fall2009
Unfortunately the letter of acceptance I was sent was via the mail. I dont have that letter anymore since I didnt end up going to El Camino. The only email I have left is that the test was mandatory requirement for entrance. But that was after I got notified of being accepted via telephone. Also, the day that I went to take the test, I was given a letter of acceptance to sign right then. I didnt get the copy to accept at home untill after I had tested, but they had already called me.

acceptance letter for elcamino college fall2009
I would only talk to a counselor, if it was a NURSING counselor. Otherwise, they are probably goin to refer you back to them and it will be a waste of time. I would just go directly to maybe the secretary in the admissions for nursing to see what could be done. Really no sense in talking to anyone else, since they are the root of the source. Good luck to you!!

acceptance letter for elcamino college fall2009
Well, thats quite a sticky situation. What I can tell you is that I was accepted into the program BEFORE I was invited to sit for the TEAS. I was under the impression that you werent allowed to take the TEAS until you were accepted into the program. I have applied at several schools and all of them that I applied at asked you take the TEAS AFTER they sent you a letter stating that you were accepted and you agreed. I would go to the admissions office and plead my case. Idk how you fell through the cracks, but I wouldnt let it ride for too long....

Pasadena City College (CA) RN program
I took the transition course with a lady I will say is Mrs. F There are only 2 teachers that teach it durings the intersession and both of them are really nice people. They try to give you alot of useful information because its the easy part of the program!! LoL. It wasnt hard, alot of stuff to read and remember for such a little book. LoL. Most of it is boring, but its mainly about conditioning your brain to think like the "RN" student, rather than the LVN. Its hard to break some of those old habits though.. LoL. When I took it this past January wintersession, there werent any hands on, but plenty of TALK to add the hands on in there. It was only once a week for 4 hours each day. Good luck to you!!!

Lvn To Rn Program In Los Angels Area
Susqy21, Hello there. I was in the same boat as tommy was some time ago. I have been accepted to PCC and Citrus Community, as well as El Camino for their bridge programs. The only one that actually required a year experience was El Camino! The rest didnt even ask. Im not goin to El Camino, since I got accepted to the other places, its just too far to commute daily. Im leaning towards PCC, but I hear the program is vicious!! LoL. IDK, if there is anyone out there who knows of any info on Citrus I would be glad to hear it.
