Yes, I ended up accepting the NICU job at Parkland because it was my #1 unit and too good of an opportunity to pass on given how competitive it is. I see you are from UTA? I am also from UTA so if you end up going to Parkland and wanna connect together as new grads just lemme know!

That's great! So I just declined the UTSW offer, so Parkland it is! Would love to connect.

Hi guys! I have my L/D interview with parkland coming up and was wondering if y'all had any tips for interviews. I have experience at a public hospital in women services, but I am feeling nervous about my upcoming interview and see many of y'all have already accepted offers there which is wonderful!

That's great that you have experience! Most of the interview questions were behavioral, like what did you do when you had a conflict with a coworker? They wanted to know my background and skill set. Pretty predictable questions. I'm sure the tone is set by the hiring manager. My interview was the ED manager and a nurse in charge of the residency program, just two people. Good luck!! I hope you land an offer ? They just want to make sure that you are someone they can work with and are willing to learn and grow.

Cool good luck! It was a lot of behavioral questions so definitely prepare for those. They said they are hiring 25 people and that includes the nurse residents and fellows. They said they are interviewing like 100 people so the process will take a while. There was two different interviews and they were all very nice so try not to stress out!

Hey guys! Do y’all know how long we have, to accept an offer for Parkland? I’m still waiting for a reply from UTSW and don’t want to make a decision at the moment

I'm not sure but it's okay to accept an offer and change your mind.
