Hello, yes that's true!

I'm internal and got the company wide email that recruiting and retaining residency staff has a critical impact on staffing and due to the large class starting in July they are excited to announce the raise. I also received a call a day after the announcement email from my recruiter to personally tell me about it. I did not hear anything about a sign on bonus though

Cool thanks. Yeah I’m not sure if the sign on bonus is for the nursing residency only since I’m a new grad but im glad to hear parkland is raising their rates.

I got the call too including a sign on bonus. Half at 30 days and the rest at 90 days.

Hello! I accepted a job in the BACU which I am very excited about. The dilemma I am having is as follows: my bestfriend from childhood is getting married on July 30th in PA… I asked for a starting schedule and have not received one yet. Does anyone have advice for how I should proceed?

Do you have the contact info for the unit manager that hired/interviewed you? If not, you could ask the recruiter for the info. I would send an email to the manager to let them know the situation. I received an email from my unit educator with a basic schedule so I would bet that you will receive something soon.  Our schedule in the ED that first week is M-F so hopefully yours is the same and you will be off on Saturday for the wedding.

I am in the ED as well. Do you know when we will start our alternating schedule?

I have no idea. I only saw that first week schedule on the email she sent a few weeks ago.

I did not receive any schedule besides the July 26th start date. Do you mind sharing the schedules you were sent so that I have a reference of what the first week will look like? Thank you!

It's Mon-Fri 0800 - 1630

hello! Has anyone here gone to their occupational health appointment? I have mine coming up so I’m not sure if we will receive further instructions from the original email or if we show up based on the time & date we choose. TIA

Hi! Yes I went to mine a couple weeks ago, the recruiter sent me an email the day before around 4/5pm, much more detailed instructions on where to park, how to navigate the hospital,...etc. The nurses were very sweet! Made me more comfortable to be working for them  ?
