We are so excited to meet you! Due to the many speakers and individual scheduling that is needed, I have not yet completed the calendar for the July residency. I cannot say with any confidence that the schedule for August is set. However, we typically have the first few weeks of class (Mon-Fri, 8-hour days). In the Bridge Program, we are very dedicated to your success. As a reminder, your presence is mandatory. We do not support PTO during the residency program. The classroom content is very difficult to make-up, should you miss. Clinical shifts with your assigned preceptor are critical for your success. I hope this helps! Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions. ? See you in July!

Hello, I'm trying to find out if there are contracts for Parkland nurse residency positions please? If so, how long? I'm really interested in the OR residency but can't seem to find this information on the website.

Our contracts are for 18 months.

I think the contract time depends on the unit needs. Mine is 15 months in ED but previous residencies in the ED have had contracts as long as 3 years.

Great, thank you! Does that include the 12 months of residency, or is it in addition to it?

Great thank you! Was that 15 months on top of the 12 for residency, or was it the 12 then +3 more?

The residency is 12 months and the contract extending 6 months beyond the end of the residency. The structure of the residency depends heavily on the specialty you service.

Thank you so much for the info! I really want to get into Parklands program and was concerned that the contract length may be an issue, but it will work perfectly and now I'm excited!!?
