Does that mean you you still have a chance for NSICU and SICU? I was wondering since we interviewed with all 3 do we have 3 chances to get picked up, but not sure how many new grads they are taking overall.

That’s a great question. I got an offer to the MICU so I didn’t even ask.

For OR!

That's awesome! Congratulations!

Hey guys, I was offered a position in the NICU! I really never thought I would get it so I'm pretty stunned. There's a huge caveat though in that there's a 3 three contract on night shifts and Parkland is about 40 min commute from my house ? I have a labor and delivery offer at Baylor with no contract and it is 20 min from my house so I feel really lost on what to go for. I did clinicals in the NICU at Parkland and absolutely loved it but I was never able to have clinicals for labor and delivery so I do not know what I would be going into at Baylor... does anybody have any advice for me? I'm super stressed out!

Congratulations! This is a tough choice! 3 years is a long time to be in a unit you hate but if you’ve had the chance to experience the unit and enjoyed it and your heart is in the NICU you will get an amazing start to your career at Parkland. Best of luck with whatever you decide!

Does anyone know when the applications are due for Parkland residency July 2022 cohort?
also does anyone know if they only have 2 residency start date like July 2022 and February or do they have one every month?

Not sure if they do this but you can ask to do a shadow day on the unit before you accept. Or at the very least a tour of the unit and it may allow you to get a feel of the unit and the people. Best of luck!

Yes, my friend and I received an email in order to sign up for the interviews that will be held in person next week. I did not sign up but wanted to let you know so you would not be waiting and anxious about it.

Did you have previous healthcare experience in L&D? Like working as a tech or your preceptorship.
