Have been looking around in search that there might have been a thread started for the current application period for Parkland Hospital Dallas, Tx Nurse Residency for Dec 2017 grads, but have not seen one so decided to start this one. Is there anyone else out there that is applying to their program im interested in ICU and ED. I have always admired the willingness of the hospital staff when it comes to educating students and new hires, not to mention all the excellent experience that can be gained in this hospital. I am currently an LVN going into the last semester of transition graduating Dec 2017 (Thank you Lord), and have found a love with the ICU and the way it pushes me to think, adapt, and evaluate situations of the human body. So who out there is ready to get this thing going and be the best nurse possible??

I got an interview for the surgical icu residency. :roflmao:. So, far it is the only interview that I have gotten; hopefully all goes well and I receive an offer. :lol2:

Congratulations and blessings, it will go well I'm sure just don't be like me with interview and forget to inhale lol.

Hey, when you say surgical ICU, did you apply for surgical PCU, bc my application is for surgical PCU but I got the call from the SICU unit manager and the department is also SICU so I was a little confused lol.

Awesomesauce, what is you guys secret to getting these interviews lol I have a collective total of 25 applications 7 which are at Parkland and all I have received is rejections, one never read replied it went straight to not interested lol. This is so depressing

Yup it can be confusing.I applied for the surgical pcu which is the surgical icu's step down unit. :lol2:

I don't know..:down:... I don't think there is a secret. This is the only interview that I have gotten so far:bored:. Just have to keep applying and hoping that you will land an interview.

Any updates guys? I am driving to TX next week for an interview at Baylor and Parkland. I'm hoping I hear from either soon after my interview since I graduate in 40 days! Good luck guys, keep us in the loop!

I received an offer and accepted today in the late afternoon from Parkland for the L&D residency and I interviewed this past friday. So they got back to me really fast! I don't know how the other residency work though! I am sure you will get one if not both of the jobs you interview for just stay positive!

@keunnamonae Did they say how many people they were hiring for L&D and do you know if they are still doing interviews?
