Parkland Dallas, TX Nurse Residency Spring 2018

Nurses New Nurse

Published

Have been looking around in search that there might have been a thread started for the current application period for Parkland Hospital Dallas, Tx Nurse Residency for Dec 2017 grads, but have not seen one so decided to start this one. Is there anyone else out there that is applying to their program im interested in ICU and ED. I have always admired the willingness of the hospital staff when it comes to educating students and new hires, not to mention all the excellent experience that can be gained in this hospital. I am currently an LVN going into the last semester of transition graduating Dec 2017 (Thank you Lord), and have found a love with the ICU and the way it pushes me to think, adapt, and evaluate situations of the human body. So who out there is ready to get this thing going and be the best nurse possible??

Specializes in LTC, Pediatrics, Behavioral Health, Home Health.
I was also interested in Austin, did you apply for GN positions on the Seton website?

I did and also to St. David just trying to maximize my opportunity

Thank you and Idk when I will know something yet until she send my official interview time, hopefully today. Im sure we will all end up in the positions we want! You might get a call for parkland be hopeful!

Wait so do you need her contact info?

Yeah, I am not TOO worried. It's disappointing because I would love to work for parkland, but I have something to fall on. :)

I also applied to the General Surgery position at Parkland and just got an email asking for a copy of my BLS/CPR card. If they do offer me an interview I'm hoping I can schedule it for the same day as my other one since I have to fly from MO. I'm definitely more interested in the Neuro ICU position but I would take either to get my foot in the door at Parkland.

I got that email too. That was a first for recruiter to ask for a copy of my CPR card.

Good luck on your search! :)

No I don't need her contact anymore, I have it. Thank you though! And Good Luck with the surgery positions! That is weird they asked for CPR card lol

Do you mind giving me the recruiter email for L&D .

I private messaged you the email.

Hello,

I am very interested in working in the NNICU; that is my primary choice for nursing. I have heard that interviews for ED and Women's health begia the week of 10/23. When I look at my profile it says that they are still reviewing the application. From previous posts it seems that NNICU interviewing has been going on for a while. I wanted to see if anyone had any feedback on the current status for NNICU interview/hiring? It makes me so very nervous giving that we are already days into November...Thank you for your help guys!

I think they have already interviewed people for NICU and from what I understood had already chosen people to give offers too. Another girl on here interviewed and she said they had already chosen people. I am interviewing for L&D next friday. My application for the NICU position still has the reviewing application status but they haven't looked at it. It still says the date that I applied on it, but my L&D app has the date she pulled my application. And I applied apparently after they had scheduled interviews for NICU. I think they just keep the applications there until people accept all the positions but once that happens I'm sure send out emails saying the position has been filled.

Mgarcia59,

You say that they have an offer list and an alternate list. Does that mean they are done with their interview process then? How you explain it, I understand that they are just waiting to fill the 12 positions. thank you .
