  1. I'm not sure if y'all know of any career fairs going around, but I went to the one at Medical City Dallas/Children's last Thursday and was offered a position in mother/baby today! It was great because I got to speak directly to the director of Women's & Infant services along with the educator. For Medical City Children's, I got to speak to Pediatric supervisor. SO WORTH GOING TO! So I urge yall, if you know of a fair coming up, GO!!
  2. Wow. 3 kids under 5?! You are super mom! I was barely hanging on with a, now, 5 year old. I understand though. Keep pushing! I truly believe things happen the way they do for a reason. Praying we get units we want, eventually!
  3. Mine still says "applied" too. I got a hold of the recruiter and I think it wasn't supposed to post again. She told me they had 300 applicants and doesn't believe the manager is still searching for candidates... as they already set interviews up. I believe earlier you said you applied late to the ER residency? I did too, and I think they just stopped opening applications after the first 300 they received.
  4. I feel ya on the ADN. I was just telling a friend of mine I wish I would have just got my BSN instead.
  5. I saw that too!! And I reached out to the recruiter who also said the manager preferred BSN. SUCH A BUMMERRRRRR!!!!
  6. Those of you who are still looking, did y'all notice they put the ER Residency back up? Thought that was kind of weird.
  7. That's interesting. Do you have your BSN?
  8. Yayyy!! Congratulations, that's awesome!!
  9. Ahhh! This is a great opportunity! When is your interview? Good Luck!!! :)
  10. You never know! Quite a bit of people I went to school with received offers at Parkland. Do practice interviews :) You've got it!
  11. Today, I got together with a couple of my friends I graduated with and they applied to various positions at parkland a while back. Apparently they got this CPR email as well, but never heard anything? I'm not sure if it's just an email the send out or if they are really actively looking into our applications.
  12. I attempted to apply to this MICU/PCU position and it was for the same position I applied to on the 26th so I couldn't. So it's like they are completely bypassing some applications because my status still says "applied". I don't know, but it's annoying. Lol
  13. So sorry! I didn't receive notifications for your response. They have completed the interview process. I interviewed a couple weeks ago. They offered the position to 12 candidates and they have an alternate list of 10 other potential candidates if any of the original 12 decline the offer.
