Pace University ABSN Spring 2020

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hiyaaa! I wanted to start a thread for all the students applying for the spring 2020 ABSN program at pace. Feel free to ask and answer questions regarding the program, good luck to everyone!!

Is the application completed on PACE Graduate Online Application because thats where I did mine but it did not prompt me to submit my recommendation letters or say anything about where we submit our transcripts.

I believe once you submit your essay and payment they will ask you for letters of recommendation

Submitted my application over a month ago.

I was told by them that applicants should start receiving emails regarding their applications after September 15th

Hello All:

I recently applied and was sent an email from Pace to schedule my interview. However, the email is very broad and lacks details about the style of the interview, or what to plan for; I was wondering if you could shine a light on this? Do you know how best to study/prepare for the interview? For example, will there be a math section or a writing section?

Thank you!

After reading the forums from the last couple of semesters I believe the interview is based off 2 questions we have to answer within 2 minutes in front of a panel. If you don’t mind me asking when did you submit all of your documents? And when is the first interview date?

Hi everyone!

I received an email yesterday from Pace to set up an interview date. I submitted my application in July.

Are the interviews in person or over the phone?

I believe interviews are held in person.

Same. I submitted all my paperwork in July, and was sent an email on Sept, 2nd to schedule an interview.

I was confused because on other threads people talk about having a writing sample, and math section to complete. However, the interview is only 1 hour. So, it's either going to be rushed, or they cut the math & writing section out.

The interviews are held in person, and from what I understand everyone has group interviews. The time slots are 1pm, 2pm, or 3pm.

From a friend:

The interview is a "group" style interview.

There is a short math test with I think 10 questions, basic math, can use a basic calculator.

Then you are asked to answer two questions about yourself, you have a few minutes to write the answers on an index card, and then read them out loud in front of the group and panel of "interviewers"

The questions were easy "what do you want them to know about you" "Why would you be good for the course"

That is it, most of the time is spent giving a brief overview of the course, what is expected, and time for questions.

It really is not high pressure
