Teachers are proactive here. We have conjunctivitis going through, so when another falls, the teachers bleach wipe everything, as well as the end of the day, with special attention to door knobs and faucets. We have contracted cleaning twice a week in the evenings, not conducive to infection control methods.

Most teachers have students here, so they have incentive to squelch it. I really do work with abnormal teachers, they make my work here awesome. We are truly a team for our kids. I keep saying I'm in paradise.
I did email all the teachers and suggested they get sanitizing wipes from the custodians to use to wipe all shared surfaces. Can't hurt, might help.

What a week! So much illness. Flu, stomach virus, strep, etc.
I did report to our Principal my concerns about how many are out sick.
Do you do anything in particular with regard to extra cleaning from custodial staff when this happens? The truth is, our custodians aren't exactly proactive about sanitizing if you know what I mean. It's all I can do to have them pick up barf bags.
