My dd is almost 6 yrs old and we had some visitors from home (Manchester) and we were driving along discussing my friends decision to become a Vegetarian, and if she missed meat.
My dd was in the back with 'the Grandfather' listening to our conversation.
The Grandfather" said "Abby are you a Vegetarian?"
In a very indignant American Voice she shouted ' No I am not a vegetarian, I am an Englishman!!"
We fell about laughing and she quickly said "I mean an English Girl"
Goodness knows what she thought a Vegetarian was!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's funny.
My nephew thought a vegetarian is a nurse coz I was a vegetarian back then when he was around the same age. It's amazing what children come up with.

That's funny!
I was in the car with my 6 yo son in the back, my brother up front with me. Brother starts telling me a story about the daughter of a mutual friend, who is 3yo and really bright...like a sponge, as they say, and is already reading very well. So he told me that this little girl walked up to him, book in hand, and said "Guess what, Ethan? Owls are nocturnal." Quite a big word for a tiny girl!
Well, my 6yo is overhearing this in the back seat, and says to us "Well, that's not such a big deal, everybody knows that owls are not turtles!":lol2:

My husband and I are friends that have a 3 year old little girl, and were pregnant with their second child. We went to visit them when Julianna was starting to really show. Olivia (the 3 year old) walked up to me and said, "That's my baby brother Jonathan. He's in mommy's uterus. He will come out of her vajajay". I rolled with laughter!! Turns out she had taken a big sister class at the hospital, where they teach real terms. The vajajay came from Julianna herself, she admitted...she was talking about "pressure in her vajajay" and little momma has sponge ears!!

My 4 yo son was quite inquisitive as to how i got his baby sister out of my tummy. His dad told him that I pooped her out. He looked at me and asked "is that how you got the crack in your butt?" I just about died laughing!:lol2:

Ah, I just love the little ones!
I had a c-section with my younger son, and one day he asked me, "Mommy, did they have to break your tummy to get me out?"
Um, well yeah, kind of. :heartbeat

My 6yo daughter fell at school on the playground and scraped her knee. She was sent to the nurse and the nurse squatted down and said "awww you have a boo-boo", my dd said "Nooooo, I have an abrasion". She got such a kick out of it and when she told me about it I told her my profession and she now understood. We always use correct terms, but admit that we both say "vajayjay" as well. I love that word, hahaha, cracks me up.
