Hey, I used to creep these forums for the past few years and they helped affirm my decision to apply to nursing school for Fall 2020. I didn't see one started for next year so I thought, why not start one?
I graduated a while back so I'm a bit older, but my top three choices are:
1. Queen's
2. McMaster
3. York
4. Humber-UNB

I'M just wondering if theres anyway to accurately convert my GPA from a 9 scale to 4 scale? I tried calculating my GPA from Uoft website since its a 4 scale but they have a different grading scheme than york (e.g hey have b-, a-, etc).
I've always just used the OMSAS conversion table. Hope this helps.

I got into York and accepted my offer already but I'm waiting on U of T still! Those are my top 2.
Waiting impatiently! Does your portal still say “application received”? CONGRATS on York!

I don’t think so! The admissions told me they look at the applications with the highest GPA first, but IDK if that’s the order they send it in

thank you!! I hope they view my application properly once I send in my Winter grades from fourth year in about two weeks.

I think they do send out based on highest GPA first, last year the people with like 4.0 or 3.99 got accepted first.
Sounds like I'm getting accepted in a few weeks lollll

OMG I feel you. I think if I have a chance I will only get accepted by the end of April or May cuz that's when my updated transcript with my Winter grades would go in and my GPA is way higher with those grades it would be a 3.98 than a 3.47 that it is currently at ?

My friend got accepted mid April and JUST met the cutoff. Like 78 average. So I’m not sure how they decide the order! I’ve heard they first divide based on GPA and then they base decisions strongly based on the personal statements. Apparently they really heavily weight the personal statements.

You’d have to find which GPA bracket your % mark falls into. For example if you got 81 from course X it will be 3.7 instead of whatever you got from 9.0 scale. https://gpacalc.utoronto.ca/calculator/#/ Use this to calculate after you convert all your courses
Today could be a big day... hopefully uoft does not have any delays! Stay safe, healthy, and breath deep!!
