Hey, I used to creep these forums for the past few years and they helped affirm my decision to apply to nursing school for Fall 2020. I didn't see one started for next year so I thought, why not start one?
I graduated a while back so I'm a bit older, but my top three choices are:
1. Queen's
2. McMaster
3. York
4. Humber-UNB

This year I simply just decided to be myself (still keeping the PS professional but adding a lot more of my emotion/passion) if that make sense ?
And had a few updates for my extracurricular activities because I am working as a manager in health & wellness related field now. My PS was also based on my most recent experience and what I've learnt.
Hope this helps love! x
Thank you for your comment! Hopefully we both get in this time and be class mates xx

The pandemic also shouldn’t delay acceptances from being sent out because there are no interviews... best of luck! Try to keep yourself distracted! You tried your best and that’s all we can really do right? I am proud of you. Getting such a high GPA is not easy.
thank you very much! Yeah for sure, nothing I can do now haha. Hope you're doing well with this whole pandemic!
Hey guys!
Just came across this forum so thought I'd share where I'm at in this whole process! I applied to Queen's, Toronto and Western, as well as McGill's Direct Entry Masters of Nursing. I got an offer from Queen's back in February, but still waiting to hear back from everyone else. I've decided to rule out Western, but still super torn about what my first choice would be between the others.
Sending best wishes and good luck to everyone ?

Hey, curious as to why you're ruling out Western? Also if you don't mind sharing, what was your GPA that got you accepted to Queen's?

Mostly ruling out Western for geographic reasons, nothing against the school! I got into Queens with a cumulative average of 87% (I think that converts to a 3.9 on the 4.0 scale and a 4.0 on the 4.3 scale?).
Hey everyone,
I am new to this forum and found it helpful going through everyone's publications - thank you to everyone that has been posting and filling us in on your journey to nursing school through your own personal roller coaster ride!!
I have applied to U of T nursing school for the 2019 incoming year and received a rejection. I wish I had applied for the 2020 year, but to be honest the rejection crushed me. I'm planning on applying for the 2021 incoming year (so the upcoming Winter) and what I will be doing is strengthening my personal statement, which I do not think was strong enough.
I bit about me - I completed my undergraduate degree (Honours Bachelor of Arts) at U of T so I have all of the criteria. I completed the online physio course with the School of Continuing Studies, however I had a lower grade than I would like (I was working full time, so I coudn't be as dedicated as I would like - I do find the material fascinating, and it did resonate with me). I would like to go into the BScN program at U of T for a rewarding career as an RN in bedside nursing. The faculty does a great job of preparing students for nursing work and has great placement opportunities. It is exactly where I see myself.
In order to prepare for the upcoming stream which opens up in November, I was wondering if anyone did additional Anatomy coursework/ has any thoughts on that. The U of T BScN website says that they recommend an anatomy course, and I found an online course with the School of Continuing Studies that would count towards this. I really wanted to ask someone in administration/ admissions about this except I'm not sure if anyone is available with the COVID situation at the moment.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this situation? Thank you! Hope everyone is keeping safe and positive with the virus situation.

Hey! May I ask what your GPA for your last 5.0 courses was when you applied in 2019? And you should email them because they are working from home so they will reply to your emails/concerns faster than usual ? I wish you the best of luck!

Hello! I am currently an undergraduate student with UofT, and I am currently (was) taking ANA300 in my fourth year. I love that course! The instructor was really nice and explain everything really well. However, it is a course with much more course load than others. I do not recall UofT requires an anatomy course, but I am taking that course for admission for other schools. Hopefully I can get in this year!

Hello, thank you for writing back, and for the warm words of encouragement! For the last 5.0 FCE my average was 81% or A- (3.7 out of 4.0) on the U of T Scale.
Hey there! Thanks for sharing your journey. Rejection is not easy - I am totally in the same boat. I would love to chat with you! Would really love to encourage you, because I applied in 2019 and didn't get in too ? Add me via email or instagram! email: [email protected]; Ig: Summer.thecraz
@moochacho yes! I really hope we both get in and hoping we could be classmates xx Hope you are enjoying your Sunday love!
Hey everyone! Hope you all her well, staying safe and calm (as we're all eagerly waiting for offers).
I'M just wondering if theres anyway to accurately convert my GPA from a 9 scale to 4 scale? I tried calculating my GPA from Uoft website since its a 4 scale but they have a different grading scheme than york (e.g hey have b-, a-, etc).
