  1. It depends on the school! Each program is different.
  2. Hi everyone - any chance a current Nipissing SPP student is willing to chat with me about the program? Send me a message ? I would really appreciate it!
  3. Is anyone considering the choice between U of T and Nipissing SPP? Would you mind sharing your thoughts with me (you can send me a message if you feel more comfortable!)?
  4. Congratulations on your acceptance, and good luck to everyone still waiting to hear back! Does anyone know when Nipissing sends out acceptances?
  5. Hey everyone, huge congratulations to everyone that has heard back from schools, and to anyone that hasn't please hang on in there ? I am looking for advice. I was taking anatomy as a prerequisite for Western/ Nipissing SPP and did not get my final grade above 60%, which is the requirement for Western. Nipissing says they just need you to pass the prerequisite, however I know it's a very competitive program! I'm completely at a loss of what to do because I was sure I was going to get that 60%. Nipissing SPP is where I really, really, really want to be. I already have competitive grades from my undergrad, Master's, and other prereqs. I'm not sure if they will accept me with my low Anatomy mark. It looks like the only two options I have are to send in the mark I have right now or to sign up for the Athabasca Anatomy/Physiology online course and complete it as quickly as I can, as long as Western and Nipissing will accept this grade instead of the one I got from my U of T anatomy course. Does anyone have any thoughts on this situation?
  6. Hey everyone, yesterday I decided to submit a really last minute application to the Western compressed nursing program - deadline is Monday (Feb 15). I was wondering if anyone could shed some insight into the application process. I submitted my application through OUAC, however since I completed Anatomy + Physiology via U of T School of Continuing Studies I need to submit my transcript from there on my own. Does anyone know how to go about doing this??? Thank you!!
  7. For those that applied to Nipissing, what did your grades for prerequisites look like (Anatomy/Psychology/Physiolgy)? Is there a minimum?
  8. Congratulations to everyone on their acceptances ? I was wondering if anyone that applied to Nipissing SPP included more than one reference letter? Wishing everyone best of luck in their nursing journey!
  9. Congratulations to everyone on their acceptances, and to those who are waiting still - best of luck! To those not accepted, persevere ? I'm applying to U of T for next year, and was wondering what you have been writing for ECs if you have been out of school for 1-3 years. Have you been including anything during this time, or is it just for while you were in school? Also, can anyone share how they structured their personal statement? Any tips on must-haves to include, or to exclude? Thank you!
  10. Thank you for writing back ? any chance that I can get in touch with you via email? I am not able to send messages to you on this forum!
  11. Has anyone taken BIOL230 through Athabasca University? It counts on as a physiology requirement for the U of T program. Any thoughts, or advice? I'm hoping to get in touch with someone to hear about their experience with the program!
  12. "A" in all 5 FCE, except the mandatory Physiology course was lower than C+.
  13. Has anyone completed the Physiology course requirement (for U of T) through Athabasca University? It seems like the course requirement is BIOL230, please see the link below. https://www.athabascau.ca/syllabi/biol/biol230.php If anyone has completed it, can you share what your thoughts are? I'm deciding between this course and the online physiology offered through the U of T School of Continuing Studies.
  14. From my experience, the latest you (should) hear back about rejection is June from U of T. Keep sending positive thoughts out!
