Online RN to BSN Programs

Published

I am looking to find out if anyone knows of any good online RN to BSN programs. I have already looked at the Excelsior program and the University of Wyoming Programs. Those are the 2 programs that I could find that had reasonable cost. I cant exactly afford some of the $300 per credit hour courses. So if anyone knows of any other moderately priced online programs I would appreciate their input. Thanks for your time.

What about online LPN to RN prep courses like NursingConcepts - RN to LPN Online. Any experience with this one or others? This one claims they will personally help you till you make it.

I agree. First of all, associate degree programs offer WAY more clinical and hands on learning than BSN programs do. I know quite a few ADN's with better clinical skills than BSNs. I think the clinical experience you get working for years in the hospital is enough... what are you going to do clinical-wise that you havent done? I know people who have completed their BSN...and they said they dont feel their clinical skills are any better than they were before!

Yes, I agree somewhat. I am not sure on-line RN programs are the best thing. However, I put in more much more than 800 clincal hours in my hospital based RN program. I also currently work as a RN and have done so for over 3 years. I do not think that I must do tons of clinical while obtaining my RN-BSN. JMHO.
Awesome. I'm starting my RN to MSN program in June, and I'm really excited. I can't wait to start!

What online program did you chose for your RN-MSN? I am researching this now, and am anxious to find a program and get started!

UOP-Online offers an RN-BSN program. We also have an MSN program. We do not offer a straight RN to MSN program. If you have a Bachelor's Degree in something other than Nursing, you can take a 3 class bridge to the MSN. I hope this helps.

Can you explain further about the 3 bridge classes if one has a Bachelor's Degree in another subject? I would appreciate the info!

Thank you!

I actually did my BSN through Thomas Edison State College in New Jersey..I forget how much it costs...but I thought it was realtively easy..if you need any other information..let me know
