UTMB Summer 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I just wanted to start a group for those applying to UTMB nursing summer 2018 start! I didn't see a thread and figured there was some of us who could use one!

I have already taken my teas and will be submitting my application soon! This would be a great place for us to compare timelines and answer any questions I'm sure we all have! I look forward to hearing from other applicants.

i wonder if it would be acceptable to have a 59.6 in science but 80 overall on the TEAS?

I think that isn't competitive and that you should retake! I had a 66% in my science and I am retaking it on Monday. I know they're very serious about meeting the requirement and when I called and I asked they told me I met the requirement but I wasn't competitive. But if I were you I'd still apply, especially if my GPA was decent and my personal statement was good.

Hey everybody! I took my teas 2 days ago and ended up with-

total: 85.3

reading: 87.2

math: 90.6

science: 76.6

english: 87.5

So my total teas is 85.3 and my GPA is 3.676. I am hoping my stats are high enough. I just submitted my application today and was wondering how long it took yall to receive the supplemental application? And also, did you get it through email or nursingcas? Thanks!!

I'm retaking my TEAS Monday and I'm so nervous! í ½í¸ž

I know its easier said than done, but try to not get too stressed and worked up about it. I had a breakdown the day before I took it because I was getting 50-60s on practice tests I was taking but ended up with an 85.3 on the actual test. As long as you have studied, just trust that you have the knowledge and apply what you know on the day of the test!! You got this!!

Hello! I just submitted my application, and I was wondering if anybody has submitted their application without verifying the transcript. I called NCAS customer support and they said that its fine to submit it before verification as long as you submitted ALL coursework including retakes. Something about that makes me nervous... :(

Anybody in the same boat?

I actually called UTMB about this and they made it seem like it would be no problem. I believe they even said that all the transcripts don't even need to be received by NCAS in order to submit the application (correct me if I'm wrong). If NCAS and UTMB said it's okay, then you should be good!

I submitted mine before they were verified. You do need to contact your school and have them send a copy of your transcript to NCAS. I went ahead and sent a copy to UTMB while I was there.

@Hayleymorgan

I received my supplemental application 4 days after my application was verified by nursingcas which took 6 days (so around 10 days total) and then my mystar account like 3 days after submitting the supplemental app. It all came through my email!

So i called and they acted like it would take 4-6 weeks to get the supplemental application! Would there be anything that would make it take that long? Or was there anything that you did that made it to where you were able to get it so quickly?

I submitted my application on July 15 so that might be why it was faster. But when I look at past discussions for UTMB, the timelines seem to be the same as mine. Maybe they were referring to the 4-6 week period before we hear about interviews?

That's probably right! I really hope I don't have to wait a month just to do the supplemental application! Thanks for the info! :)

Awesome thanks for the info! Not alot of people are commenting on this thread. I guess that means we have more of a chance! YAY! :D
