hey! I am applying to Utmb CON for summer 2018 to! I am currently in the process of writing my personal statement and retaking my TEAS exam. Everything is last minute right now, I was wondering if there is any tutor place that y'all recommend to help me write my personal statement. Thank you!

Hi everyone! I am also applying to UTMB for the Spring 2018 semester, but no one has heard anything yet (they said we won't start hearing anything until mid-late July), so I went ahead and applied for the Summer semester as well just in case I didn't get accepted for the Spring semester. One thing we did in the Spring forum is everyone posted their stats if they were comfortable. My stats are as followed:

Overall GPA-3.78

Science GPA- 3.5

(GPA is based off of NursingCAS)

TEAS Scores-

Total- 74%

Math- 81.3%

Reading- 76.6%

English- 70.8%

Science- 72.3%

I am also having to take one more class in the fall, which is my Elective Science.

Just some advice from a current summer 2017 grad.... don't apply in the summer if you absolutely can. nurse residency programs and hiring seasons in general do not coincide with the graduation date of august. only 5 or 6 people have gotten jobs so far from our class. spring and fall is a much better time to graduate as there will be plenty of jobs. spring is the best. good luck to everyone. I just wish someone would have told me this when I started.

Hi everyone!

First of all my name is Gabby. I was wondering if anyone one else has a 4.0 overall gpa but scored low on the TEAS?? Also, I submitted my application with my original score however can I update them if I retest and get s higher grade?

P.S I only have one more semester of prerequisites. I've taken A&P I and II, micro, nutrition, and biology.

Thank you for your advice. I took my TEAS this past Saturday July 8th I realy did not good in the Science portion so I was not going to to waste my time applying for the summer and try again for the fall of 2018. Question how is the program would you recommend this program to future nursing students.

The program is great, you learn a lot. It is very rigorous though so be prepared to spend most of your free time studying. I have made many friends and enjoyed this experience.

You can always retake a certain part of the test! I am applying for the spring, but I went ahead and applied for the summer since we have not heard anything... Theg told us when I went to Open House that the Fall semester is the hardest to get in!
