I got my acceptance yesterday too! I’m so excited. I interviewed May 11th. The interview was very quick and low stress. They didn’t ask any funky questions. I have about a year and a half of experience. 1 year in the float pool and almost 6 months in the ICU. Not exactly sure what my GPA was, but it was somewhere over a 3.9 but not a 4.0. Just in case anyone looking on here is wondering!

I just got all my stuff submitted for the TTUHSC FNP track this past week! I have a little over a year of experience, so I kind of feel like I’m lacking in that department. Has there been anyone else apply to this program and get in with only a year of experience? Also, who else out there has applied to the track for fall 2021?

My husband and I both have interviews on November 6th and we are traveling from north Utah!

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I called one time and I'm pretty sure they looked at something on my nursingCAS..good try, UTMB haha

I have seen that people can get accepted without an interview in past forums!

So for those who have gotten accepted, what about your personal statements do you think really won the admissions committee over? Do y'all think it's mostly because y'all have healthcare experience? Volunteer experience? Leadership experience? Or is there anyone out there who thinks they're a really compelling writer and got in without having any of the above experiences?

That's probably right! I really hope I don't have to wait a month just to do the supplemental application! Thanks for the info! :)

So i called and they acted like it would take 4-6 weeks to get the supplemental application! Would there be anything that would make it take that long? Or was there anything that you did that made it to where you were able to get it so quickly?

I actually called UTMB about this and they made it seem like it would be no problem. I believe they even said that all the transcripts don't even need to be received by NCAS in order to submit the application (correct me if I'm wrong). If NCAS and UTMB said it's okay, then you should be good!

Yes that definitely helps! Thanks! :) Like you said, you're not on the admissions committee, so you probably don't know, but do you happen to know like if they even read all of the personal statements before deciding who to interview? That's so many to read at once I feel like haha. Or if they don't read them all at once, is that even fair that they would start accepting people without having read them all??

Hey y'all! I've read a lot of these comments, and I was wondering if anyone knows how they go about choosing who gets interviewed when? I'm applying for the Summer 2018 semester. Do y'all know if they take the top GPA/TEAS/personal statement applicants first for interviews? Or do they assign interviews based on when you submitted your application? Or is it random? If anyone knows the answer to this, please shed some light! :)
