I start NS in August, super excited and scared, want to know who all is so I can keep track when fall comes and we can share with each other
We had orientation yesterday. Woo Hoo! I finally feel a part of the nursing program. Our classes don't start until Sept. 2nd, and I don't know which clinicals I have yet but do know the hours of the didactic classes. We had to put up three choices and hope for the best for clinical site/professor. I found out that there are 64 of us in the day section of the program and 40 doing evenings. We got our book list (Yikes), and I bought a few and ordered a few more, so things are coming together nicely. I have already ordered "the packet" of supplies they insist on, and I have my scrubs. Just need to decide on which shoes to go with. Everyone on this forum seems to love their shoes--hard to know which ones to get.
Also, I signed up for a Nursing Math Prep course in July. It is non-credit and runs for just two days (4-1/2 hours each day). It isn't mandatory but seemed like a great idea to me, so I'm looking forward to being somewhat prepared, math-wise, when the program itself starts.
Enjoy the summer, everybody.
