  1. Hi all. I am starting an LPN program in 2 weeks. I have been studying for a couple of weeks already and I just don't know! My math skills are pretty good. I did well on my TEAS test on that section. However, I am starting to worry. The very first chapter we are going to work in is hard. I don't know if my math skills are good enough. I was wondering if we are allowed to use a calculator for the class... and also if nurses use calculators for their job...? I am starting to study MORE on my math so I can hopefully be up to speed to start the 1st chapter. I really just need more work on mulitplying/dividing fractions and decimals and conversions. Thanks in advance!
  2. Thanks. That was my thought. I want to take as many online as I can. Right now I have 4 classes online. I am in class full days on Monday (lab and lecture) on Tuesday's I am out at 2, Wednesday's I have clinicals/lab all day, and on Thursday's I am out at 2. No school on Friday's... I think I can do it!
  3. Hi. I am starting the LPN program on the 27th. My goal is to finish this and get into the RN program as soon as I can. However, I don't have any pre reqs for the RN program yet. So either I fit some in with my LPN program and work extra hard OR I finish the LPN program and then take pre reqs for a year, then apply for the RN program. Is it common for people to take pre reqs while in the LPN program? Is it doable? I am 31, married, with 4 kids... I have lots of support from my husband and kids so I am not alone. Please give me some insight. Thanks.
  4. I am starting at a community college in TX. I start the LVN program on Aug 27!!! I can't wait!
  5. Hi everyone. I am new here. I read posts everyday but I didn't want to register until I got accepted. Well I got my letter yesterday. I will starting an LPN program in the Fall. I am so happy! I am a 31 year old mother of 4. I have always wanted to be a nurse but never was able to give it a try... until now. Anyway, I would like to meet some online people on my same path! Good luck to everyone!
