Don't let age hold you back from furthering your education, as long as that's what you really want to do. I'm 44 and am in the process of applying for the nursing program at my school (finished pre-requisites last month -- yay!). Once I finish my ADN and pass the NCLEX, I fully intend to bridge to BSN.
I'll be 45 when I start the program and 47 when I graduate with my ADN. Do I wish I had started this a little earlier? Yes, I do. Am I letting that stop me? Nope.
I've heard repeated warnings about the toll nursing can take on the bodies of us older women, but since you're already a CNA, that shouldn't be an issue.

I am a 44 year old CNA. been one on and off for 25 years.. The time is finally right in my life to go back to school and finish my RN... My job where I work does FULL tuition reimbursement for this. I love where I work and it would be no problem staying there for many many many years. I know alot of people go back to school at all ages. I just wanna hear some input on the ones that did go closer to 40 years of age and beyond :) Thanks all in advance.. Annd would a BSN really be worth it?
