Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone else is applying for the ABSN at OHSU for 2021? I just submit my application for the Ashland campus and would love to connect with other people who are applying! I'm feeling pretty nervous about how competitive the program is ?

Nope! I applied to ABSN -> DFNP (Portland) and am hoping to hear something by the end of the week. I know they're really busy with vaccine clinic stuff, so perhaps they're behind a little? That's what I keep telling myself at least. If it's helpful context, last year I received my interview invitation on January 29th (I ended up waitlisted).

I also received my invite! Did your invitation said Ashland campus? I applied to Ashland campus but on my invite it said Portland.

I'm planning to apply for next year's cycle for the accelerated BSN to pediatric DNP program! I hope this application cycle works out for you! Fingers crossed!!
Thank you! I hope so too.
Work & volunteer experience that involves direct patient care and demonstrates civic mindedness always looks good on an application. While OHSU doesn't have a specific work or volunteer experience requirement for their nursing programs, it's generally understood that these things help an applicant stand out. This is especially true when an applicant can explain/demonstrate how skills from these experiences translate to nursing. I've been a practicing LMT for over a decade, so interact directly with my my patients on a regular basis. Because of these routine interactions, I'm better able to detect changes in their health and can make appropriate recommendations to the patient and report these changes to other providers on the team.
Sorry for the delay on this. The past couple months have been crazy!

Mine said Portland as well, but I emailed to clarify and it is indeed the Ashland campus that we are interviewing for! Good luck!

I was waitlisted last year for the ABSN to PNP program. I was devastated. I also asked what I could improve on and was told I was competitive but there weren’t enough spots. (Only 4)
I’ve reapplied but I’m feeling so discouraged. This is my last year before my credits begin expiring and I've worked so incredibly hard to get to this point.
so has anyone else received interview invited for the ABSN to dnp programs?
