OHSU ABSN 2021

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone else is applying for the ABSN at OHSU for 2021? I just submit my application for the Ashland campus and would love to connect with other people who are applying! I'm feeling pretty nervous about how competitive the program is ?

Hi! So happy I found this group. I think I messed up. I got an email saying I missed the supplemental questions. So I went back and answered tonight. I’m scared I messed up my chances. I applied to linfield and pcc. So fingers crossed.

I doubt it! It's actually a really nice gesture that they let you go back and add things-- to me it suggests that you're still in the running and they actually want to fully consider every applicant. 

I've applied for grants where they looked for things to nitpick; if document margins were .95" instead of 1", for example, the application might be rejected. You wouldn't have a chance to correct it and you wouldn't find out till months later.

Anyone have any update? I got an email saying I’ve be verified from nursingcas but not from Ohsu. Where else did everyone apply?

You're doing it right! 

I applied for both the ABSN to DNP(CNM) and the regular ABSN program. I have an interview for the DNP program, but haven't heard anything about the regular BSN program. I have a feeling they're doing all the ABSN to dnp programs first, then will send out emails for the plain old ABSN groups since we were encouraged to apply to both if we wanted so they can remove all those they already accepted from the applicant pool.

Is your interview date on the 21st or 22nd? Has anyone else heard back about interviews for next week or February 4th and 5th?

I applied for the ABSN-DNP (FNP) and haven't heard back yet!

I applied for the ABSN to PMHNP and haven’t heard anything. Emailed to make sure they at least received my application.

I also applied to ABSN -DFNP (Portland) and also haven't heard anything. I'm expecting to hear about interviews this week though, given that the first interview slots are Feb 1st and 2nd. The ABSN interviews aren't until late Feb or early March so I'm expecting to wait a little more to hear back about those interviews. They've got a lot more applications to go through too for that one.

My email with the time line said the first interviews were on the 21st and 22nd and the next were on the 4th and 5th? Maybe they have different specialities on different days? But either way haven’t heard anything about an interview officially yet!

Did they tell you the format? I know they did group interviews in the past with a panel but assuming for virtual interviews that this is shifting to one on one?

it’s virtual with a 30 min time slot. I agree, virtual with a group interview would be a nightmare!
