OHIO Nurses what part of Ohio are you from and what kind of nurse are you/will you be

Hi everyone, just trying to get some posts goin on in our OHio chat room, im from cincy and i want to be a travel nurse eventually...i also want to specialize in pediatrics maybe become an NP sometime in the future....

Hey All! Here's my 2 cents....

I am currently an MA, CPT and (in 3 WEEKS) an LPN! On the home stretch! I am from NE Ohio. Extreme far right corner , just near PA border. Would like to further on and get my RN... Maybe at Kent Ash. branch or online... but will wait a year or so for all that! I need to get to work... The bills are piling up!:uhoh3: Haven't got a job yet but I am trying really hard. Would like to go to the hospital...I did the doctor's office for ten years...

I was born and raised in Lawrence County, Ohio . Extreme Southern part of the state. (no one would know the names to the little towns there!!). Currently live in Baltimore, Md. Nurse for a loooooooooong time in ICU. :D

What an exellent choice in schools!! You will be very happy with continuing on to your master's there.. excellent reputation. My school - Kent- has a joint MSN/PhD program with them (and share instructors too)and I have heard nothing but the best. So, far, my instructors have been enlightning. Good Luck !!

That is good to know, at some point (maybe in the not too distant future) we may move to that area of Ohio. Good to know that Kent has a good program. My husband is a Kent State Alum too :)

Currently I go to school in Dayton. I'm originally from the Cleveland area. I still have one more year of school left, and then I'll be moving back home. This summer I'm going to be working at the Cleveland Clinic in the nurse extern program that I can't wait to start!

WooHoo!! I just found out that I passed my boards today, and I also just accepted my first RN position today!! I am going to be working at the Cleveland Clinic in their brand new Hospital transfer unit... They are going to accept all the critical care patients that don't have beds inhouse until they can get an inhouse bed! I'm so excited... I start August 7!

I'm from Dayton. My background is inpatient OB (19 yrs), great fast pased work, rarely a dull moment. The last 9 yrs I worked in a fertillity center and loved it as well.

I'm from southern Ohio. I'm an lpn charge nurse in long term care. The plan is to get my rn and teach when getting up at 4am becomes too old.
