Hi everyone, just trying to get some posts goin on in our OHio chat room, im from cincy and i want to be a travel nurse eventually...i also want to specialize in pediatrics maybe become an NP sometime in the future....

i am from batavia outside cincinnati i took my pn nclex yesterday going crazy and know nothing yet today. i want to get into peds as well. i am going on to get my RN and will start that online in January. Michelle

I'm just outside Toledo, RN for 16 years. Just got my BSN and am starting my MSN in October. I have many years ER experience and just started in Management.

Where are you going to school? MUM? Sinclair? I'm about 9 miles east of you just north of Lebanon. I just finished PN school and got my license. I'm bridging at Sinclair. I'm probably a bit old to try to go so far as a CRNA but I wish you luck with it. I have a friend who is a CRNA and he enjoys it.

On the other hand, I wouldn't mind teaching someday and the new rule is that you have to have a masters (or working on it) to teach.....

oh now what do you mean your too old.Your never too old to do what you love.I had originally put that on the back burner because I didnt think I was smart enough to get in but now after having a little pep talk.I am back on track to do what i really want to do.

I am currently attending Rio Grande Univ.Its an online program.The waiting list and amount of prerequisites didnt appeal to me at the other schools.I started right away and jumped right into clinicals.I love and am almost done.Im young but I have my goals and want to be done with school by the time my kids get to high school

What hospital did you find an LPN position in? I have yet to find any Dayton hospitals with LPN postings except for KMC and that one is at their LTC. I'm an LPN bridging to RN at Sinclair and would love to find a nearby hospital in which to gain experience.

i'm from the cleveland area and i'm currently attending the university of akron. i haven't really decided in what field i want to get into, but i was thinking about pediatrics / oncology/hematology. =)
