Hi everyone, just trying to get some posts goin on in our OHio chat room, im from cincy and i want to be a travel nurse eventually...i also want to specialize in pediatrics maybe become an NP sometime in the future....
well, I'm from Cincy (grew up there) left as a teen and went to Kentucky, which I claim as home, am now in Florida, but have had the opportunity to live several different areas of the country. Right now, am planning to return to the northern Kentucky area as my property is still there and hubby is ill and needs to have good medical care (regardless of what you read, Florida medicine is antiquated and not aggressive or on the cutting edge of things down here)
For how long will I stay in Kentucky??? Who knows.....always did say that I had gyspy blood and show live in an RV...now THAT is an idea that I am playing around with....just to pick up and go....I could do that...travel nursing is very appealing and I follow that forum very carefully....I think i will do that in the future...
i am a diploma grad who has an AA and a BS; two certs: one ANCC and one AMSRN; working on MA via distance in rehab counseling.
any ol' TCHSN grads out there?????
I'm originally from the Akron area, but moved down to southeastern ohio about 3 years ago. I've been an RN for four years. I started out in Oncology, then transfered to a critical care float position, then neuro stepdown, now I'm just working casual on a cardiac stepdown unit, about 4 hrs a pay, just to try and keep up on some of my skills, etc. After moving to southern ohio, I was away from my family, had little kids, and no daycare. I was making over an hour commute. So I started my own business, and I'm loving it. If anyone knows of any nurses who are looking for a way to work from home, so they don't have to put their kids in daycare like I was you can let them know about me. Just PM me, if you want, or you can check out my website www.candlesamore.com
:studyowl:,I am new to this LPN program, I am having a hard time balancing family, study time and work along with homework and clinicals!! How do you do all this??? I am from the Dayton area and wish to donate my time on the Mercyship to remove goiters and perhaps go into research.
Where are you taking your classes?? RETs by any chance? I just graduated from their LPN program this last August.

Northeast Ohio-currently unemployed. 12 years at a Hospital on med/surg/telemtry floor. Job was cut. Burned out--not sure what I want. Anyone out there work for any of the ambulatory cleveland clinic centers? Do you like it-tell me the good and bad. What about Home Health Care? anyone work for Cambridge or Western Reserve Hospice? I would love to talk to any LPN's in the Cleveland Area.
