Aug '06. Have you gone back for your RN? I might go back to RETs cause I figured it'd be easier to get my RN that way.

I bet you pass!!! As soon as I walked out of the building after taking the boards I cried. I cried the whole way home surely thinking I failed. I felt like I knew the answers to maybe 10 out of the 85. Then I got my results and I passed!!!!

I hated the people who would never listen and the teacher would have to repeat themselves. I also was very annoyed with these 2 certain people who shouldnt have graduated.

Id take them with me when I wanted to smoke.

we had a patient once who was this old lady. the story i heard was she was diagnosed with face cancer and didnt see a doctor for 13 years. whether thats true or not i dont know but what i saw is no lie. this woman had no face. she had no nose and what was her "face" was bloody red and black flesh. she was also blind, wouldnt eat, obviously mental, and refused all treatment. it gets worse!! she would pick flesh off her face and throw it. the housekeeper went in every hour gagging, mopping up the floor. so i peeked in at her to see how she was doing and i caught her eating her face!!!!!!!!!

I went to RETS night program also and our class was constantly getting screwed by the school. Im reluctant to go back to RETs, so maybe Ill look into Excelsior.

I just took the NCLEX-PN a month ago and I waited until the day before to study. I too had the Saunders book and didnt think the questions themselves helped. BUT just taking practice tests got me in the way of "test taking" thinking. What it comes down to, is you either know it or dont. There were 28 people in my class, and 23 have taken it so far and we've all passed.

Im scared to death to start my first day!

Where are you taking your classes?? RETs by any chance? I just graduated from their LPN program this last August.

I was told that if you have kids it is not a good idea to work at corrections or a jail. In some cases, if someone calls off and they cant find any to pick up the shift you will be required to stay and work a double.
