Oh no, this is bad news, I was hoping to get a job in Columbus and work in the hospital with my LPN and go back for my RN and get tuition reimbursement..bummer!!!:angryfire

Thanks for the information! If you dont mind me asking, are you already an LPN? If so what pre requs are needed for the LPN to RN?? I have microbiology and an Intro to Chem completed, ( I think I may need to pick up another Chem class) When I called to ask questions they pretty much told me to wait until I have my LPN in Sept, then contact them.

Does anyone know how long it takes for your prints to be completed so you can sit for boards? I was told it could be around nine months and I just sent mine in ( graduate 1st week of sept) I wonder if they will be done in time???:uhoh21:

I live near Steubenville it is about 2 1/2 hours east of Columbus. I know exactly where Sanderling is, I was up that way when I went on Spring Break. I stayed in Nags Head, I have been going every summer since I was two...anyway, I saw the post after yours that said Ohio Health doesnt hire LPN for acute care anymore...... My main goal is to move that way and get a job with one of the hospitals that will pay for me to go back and get my RN. I hope I can find something when I grad.

Thanks for the info. I was afraid the waiting list for the RN program would be forever long. I live two and half hours from CSCC so it is somewhat difficult to go up there right now. I will be finishing up my LPN in Sept. Do you have any idea if Ohio Health or OSU med center hires LPN's often??

That awesome your graduating in June!!!! Time will fly!! How do you like the online program? I am not familar with it. What are the requirements to do nursing online?? Do you still attend a clinical site? I know online classes are far more flexible but are they more difficult?

Does anyone know how long the LPN- RN courses last for either of these two schools? In my area they are only a year but I have been told these colleges may be longer. Also does anyone know what the wait time may be to enter the program?? THANKS!!!!

HI, I am new to this site and have really enjoyed reading the post. I will be graduating in Sept 06 and would love to move to the Columbus/Bexley area. I am anxious to start an RN program as soon as I can once I get adjusted and am wondering what type of pay I can expect for new LPNs. Do they pay more if your are IV cert? Any chance of getting a higher rate if you have honers? ( wishful thinking ) THANKS!!!
