  1. I am a nursing student and work as a tech on a trauma unit. I was taught in class that WTD dsg's were sterile but noticed that many nurses at work don't do this. I asked our ET nurses about this and they said that many are just clean technique but the some do still require sterile - just depends on the wound. Often the docs will write for clean or sterile dsg changes.
  2. I don't have any advice but I feel your pain. I have had problems with warts on and off for the last 25 years, and as a child had flat warts on my face. Luckily medication worked for me but it was a very difficult time. Often (for me at least) the warts I've had have come and gone on their own.
  3. I have used this site and found it quite helpful. I chose profs with higher ratings for being helpful than anything - I honestly don't care if they are easy or hard as long as they are willing to help if I am confused
  4. I am taking a hybrid stats class this quarter and MyMath Lab is also with our book. I haven't used it yet but am planning to start with it tomorrow. Have you used the software at all yet?
  5. I submitted my application in Jan '06 and received my acceptance letter in June '06. Unfortunately that acceptance letter is for starting Spring '07. so I guess I'm still waiting.
  6. wait wait wait!!! i absolutely adore my children (12, 7 and 14mos.) however i wish i had decided to go to nursing school years ago before i had the responsibility of a family. the challenges of pregnancy can wipe you out and don't forget the joy/exhaustion of a newborn. my youngest had severe reflux and ended up in the hospital at 4 weeks. it was totally unexpected but there was no way i would have been able to even make it to class let alone put in all the required study time. finish school then have many, many babies :smiley_aa you will have so much more time to enjoy them. you won't have to go study when all you really want to do is play and snuggle.
  7. I start in a week and a half. We are on break now :monkeydance: and I'm loving it.
  8. One of my best friends is graduating in a few weeks and I will be out of town. I feel so bad that I can't be there but I want to give her a graduation gift before I leave. Any ideas because I can't decide what to get for her. Thanks :biggringi
  9. Good luck! I won't know for sure until the end of June but a little birdie told me that I am waitlisted so I can pretty much count of starting next spring instead of this fall.
  10. I'm with Sassy!
  11. I know that OhioHealth just stopped using LPN's in acute care settings but I'm not sure about others. I have applied for fall 06 but have been told that I will probably be more likely to start spring 07
  12. Anyone else go to or waiting to get into COlumbus State? Tonia
  13. I'm still waiting:yawn: I applied in January and won't know until the end of June. :angryfire I think it is evil of them to make me wait that long.
  14. The hospital I work at will pay for everything including books and parking for a 2 year commitment. I only have to work 16 hours a week to be eligible. I think it is worth it but I know quite a few people that are afraid to make the commitment. I'm sure there are many hospitals with similar programs if you check into it.
  15. I am in COlumbus and hope to start at Columbus State this fall!
