Read allnurses lol.
It's been nice having some time off. Although I jumped right into orientation. Was weird thought I was off Sat-Tue ... I kept looking at my budget and thinking "ok what can I do to earn some money" and thought "duh..you ARE working..you just have a day off..there is nothing more you can do now!" So I guess it won't really hit until I get my first big check in June! Until then I still feel like a broke student lol.
I'm looking forward to some entertainment and getting OUT of the house. We are already planning a little 2 day trip in June, a real vacation in September, and a possible concert in July along with a few fun movie days and things like that. Nothing major really, just some FUN finally.
I am going to start cleaning my house...I mean REALLY cleaning it for the first time in a long time! We've managed to keep things semi-organized and not filthy, which with four kids, has been a trick! I have to tackle under their beds which is a scary endevor...I think something growled at me from under my daughter's bed the other day :uhoh21:
I am planning on taking the NCLEX June 4th so I have two weeks of getting 'more' ready for that, then we are taking a two week vacation the end of June:monkeydance: And then, starting work July 9th!
Oh yea, and I plan on reading tons and tons of books for fun!!
Can I join the club too? :)
I graduated on May 11th, and I feel such a relief, and such happiness. I am a graduate nurse! I just came back from my last day of Hurst review( which was awesome by the way). I start officially as a graduate nurse this Monday at Children's Hospital. I am nervous and excited. I actually got to read a leisure book last week, and looking forward to reading many more on my off days, but for now I am concentrating on passing NCLEX. I am happy to be out of the nursing student phase, on to grad nurse, and will be even more excited to be a registered nurse.
Gosh is Everyone here taking review courses? I'm not! I feel with just graduating it all should be pretty fresh in my mind. Oh yes I'm following Suzannes plan, which in part consists of doing 100 saunders questions a day..but I just don't feel as if I need to take a review course. If I had to wait a long time til NCLEX, then maybe....but nahh, I'm just going to do my own review.
