Last night it become official, I am no longer a nursing student, now I am a Graduate Nurse! I thought this day would never come..what a journey it has been!
Now to focus on being able to say "it's official, I'm no longer a graduate nurse, I'm an RN" :monkeydance: NCLEX here I come!
I *was* going to take a review course, and actually went to 1/2 of the first day last week, but unfortunately I've done something to a disk in my lower back, and can't sit for very long. While I'm grateful that this didn't happen during clinical time, I am bummed about not getting the review in. I'm able to take it elsewhere if I need to, but can't get a refund. I do have a lot of books and CD's on the NCLEX to keep me busy though. The real bummer is my doc said not to even attempt to look for work until after I have an MRI and they know what is going on.
But.....it does feel weird being out of school! Lots of free time! I have to get more "methodical" with my NCLEX studying though. It was easy in nursing school, knowing what was going to be on the next exam. Now I feel like I have to study EVERYTHING (but especially Pharm.). I got my ATT from Pearson, and am going to call and get my appt. If I have a date that I need to shoot for, I think studying will go easier.
Anyone else have a "magic" date with the NCLEX yet? A classmate emailed me that she is taking it 6/5. This just makes it all so "real"!!
I just registered to take my NCLEX on June 4th. I want to get it over and done with before we go on vacation!
I am not taking a review course either. I have done very well on my HESI tests, had A's throughout nursing school and have been going over about 100-200 questions from Saunders CD when I'm at the computer for a couple months now. I feel prepared but still nervous. It's hard when all your eggs are in a basket titled "NCLEX" :0
