Accepted to Frontier Nursing University....WHOOO HOOO
Yes, working full time and schooling part time is doable, but definitely not easy as you get into the higher level courses. You will have to manage your time well and stay organized. You can do your clinicals wherever you want, but just not where you are employed.

Well...I can't honestly give you admission statistics, but I'll bet the admissions office could, so you might want to give them a call about that. I have worked full time until this most recent term. Now I work part time & am starting my last term of classes full time (when I was working full time, I did school part time, which means 2 classes per term. Full time is 3 classes per term). After this last term, I start clinicals for (hopefully) about 6 months. So...yes. You can work while doing this, but working full time as you move into the higher level courses is questionable. What do I love about it? Hmmm....I love the connections you make at Frontier Bound. It really makes you feel like you're part of a class, not just going to school on a computer. The faculty is very supportive. I believe the quality of education I'm getting at Frontier is better than I'd be getting somewhere else. I just love the school and plan to someday receive my Doctorate from Frontier. No need for me to look anywhere else. Some classes have scheduled chats/lectures, others have powerpoints or chats/lectures that are recorded and can be attended when it works for you. Hope this helps a little :)

I can rave about the school all day long, but do you have any specific questions? I'd be happy to answer them.

CONGRATS TONIE!! I am FNP Class 82. It's a tough program, but worth it. There's a reason why the school is one of the top grad schools in the US! :) Frontier Bound is the most amazing experience. My advice, enjoy every second! Your life is about to change in wonderful ways!

south jersey regional medical center vineland
I think the starting salary is about $24/hr. It's a WONDERFUL place for nurses to work, and plenty of opportunities for nurses to advance. Get involved with your unit based practice council, because shared governance is a wonderful thing... and be sure to learn about the PRIDE program, which is an easy way to earn a bonus check each year! Congratulations! :)

Studying for RNC-Inpt OB
I did independent study and used the study book that my friend received when she attended a two-day review course. I also used the Core Curriculum book, and I recommend http://www.pearlsreview.com. It's a great review for any certification exam you might be taking. Best Wishes!

Confused on how to start a career in OB
It's usually quite easy to pick out the new CNMs who have experience as an L&D nurse and the ones who do not... Just sayin!

Salem Community College Nursing Program!
Your daughter needs to call Cumberland County College's nursing department ASAP and tell them her story. This is why people need to look at the program to which they are applying. If HESI is required, my advice is to apply elsewhere. Best wishes to your daughter. Please encourage her not to give up.

Applying to the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing?
You cannot test out of stats, but you can take it somewhere else if the same class requirements are met (with approval). Best wishes! Patti

Has anyone here taken statistics through Frontier? I'm wondering how often the class is offered and over how many weeks is the class taught...? Thanks in advance!
