Official nursing student fall 2011 stand up!!!

Published

I am so excited about starting the nursing program and thought it would be fun to see who else is excited!! Tell everyone what school you will be attending, what was your GPA, and TEAS score. Fall 2011 RRRRROOOOLLLLLL CCCCAAAALLLL:yeah::yeah::yeah:

I will be attending GPC, my GPA was 3.8, and my TEAS V score was 82%!

I'm excited to be starting nursing school this fall!! I haven't received my official start date yet, but it will be late August. My GPA is a 3.5 and my TEAS V score was a 77%, and I would rather not say my college, but I'm going for my ADN. I'm ready, let's get it!! :D

Congrats, yes lets get it!:clown:

I will be going to Bapstist School of Health Professions (Wife & several friends graduated from there, and I work for the system now) 3.2 GPA (3.8 in field) 88% on TEAS

Awesome job Bossman, lol! I so love your screen name.

:ancong!: way to go everyone.

I am attending University of the Fraser Valley (UFV), BC. My overall GPA was 3.33, and pre-requisites was 3.8. Initially my pre-req's were 2.67 and I had to retake half of them.

We do not have to take an entrance exam, but we did need:

Volunteer hours ~ 300

Standard first aid, and CPR-C: Had it and AED certification

Interview: must have done well hahaha.

Recommendations: I had 2.

Essay on why I want to be a nurse: Timed, had 30min to write.

It was nerve wracking as we all waited, but it was worth it!!! I already have my Shoes, Scrubs, and Stethoscope. I still need my amples of books, sphymomanometer, bandage scissors, and pen-light. I am sure I need more, but we don't get told mostly what we need until our first day.

YAY!! to all!

Congrats, you guys needed a lot to get in. But nevertheless job well done.

I just want to say congrats to everyone that was accepted into the Fall 2011 Nursing class at Calhoun Community College. I was beyond excited when I got my acceptance letter 2 weeks ago. I had a did a little jumping and screaming then I read the letter about 30 times. Yeah I'm thinking about framing it LOL!! Just kidding but seriously I was nervous. I have a 4.0 which is good bc I'm a full time student, but my TEAS score was a 78 and that had me worried. God has a plan though. I'm so excited.

Congrats, I think you should frame it. If I don't frame mine I will put it in a scrap book along with pics from nursing school!!

Glad to see that everyone is so happy because I am dreading it just a bit! I'm doing a LPN to RN (ADN) program that starts next month. I had to take two test to test out of the first year of the RN program, now I have one year to go! I am excited but dreading the book work a little. Anyway, my GPA is 3.4 and I'm going to Murray State College, which is a local 2 year school.

Good luck to everyone!

Congrats, I am sure it will be well worth it pretty soon.

Congratulations to everyone who will be starting Nursing classes in Fall 2011!!! Count me in as well! I just got the news last week Monday! I will be attending Bryant & Stratton College here in Milwaukee and I'm sooooo excited!! I also already have an Associate Degree in Business Administration that I just graduated with last October! I'm pretty sick of sitting behind a desk all day long on the computer and cannot wait to start walking around, taking care of patients, listening to different wisdom and words that people have to pass down, and getting to really know them versus just being their nurse.

I'm super excited!!

Again, CONGRATS EVERYONE!!!

:yeah::yeah::nurse: :nurse::yeah::yeah:

You sound like me, because I was sick of desk work too!!!

Does anyone advise NOT taking Pharmacology in the summer?

The course seems quite dense to do in the summer , and I prefer not to punish myself like I did with a 5wk summer A&P1 course. I noticed UT Houston acclerated BSN program offers Pharm and Path in the first summer.

I was accepted to Bethune Cookman BSN Program in Daytona Fl I start Aug 22 I'm too excited hooray Fall 2011 RN students!!!

Hello and it is Wonderful to see so many HAPPY newly selected students! I too am a non traditional student so I 'm very happy to announce that I will:

Attend CCCUA University of Arkansas, 4.0 GPA, and I did well enough to pass on the TEAS. I start classes on Aug. 15th

I too will be starting a BSN program this fall, but we don't start until the end of September! (I'm attending a University in Seattle) I didn't have to take any entrance tests, but the application was intense. Here's hoping the next 2.5 months fly by!

Hi everyone! I'm also excited about starting nursing school in the fall. I go to Gloucester County College in Sewell NJ and my GPA was 3.9 and I didn't have to take the TEAS test.... however I had to take the HESI test. I scored an 84 composite.

hmm.. I'm feeling a little less than up to par with you guys. I'm entering with a 2.98 (although I have two classes I'm taking now, so it should be higher) and I start August 22. Tomorrow is orientation:eek:. We don't do the TEAS at my school we did the NLN (we recently changed to the Hessi, but I was granfathered in with the NLN)

Congrats to everyone!!

my GPA is also a 2.95 and afaik Penn State doesn't use TEAS/HESI - although I already have my bachelors from Penn State so that could be why I didn't have to take any entrance exams...
