Pearsonvue Trick - Does it Work Every Time? Part 3
I just took my nclex 2 hours ago and got the origional response a few min ago :"records indicates you have recently registered for this test please contact bon. an appointment can not be scheduled at this time" Does this message still count as good news? I'm only totally freakiing out right now! I stopped at 87 q on PN. 85 I would have been ok but 87..... I keep thinking that at 85 I was "on edge" and either I got both 86 and 87 right or both wrong. I feel like I totally bombed this test! A lot of it just came from left field. :-( IF the above still counts, I'm sooo happy if not... well, ....................................................................................

HELP, Instructor wants Patho on Care Plan for PP patient.
How does this sound? surgical removal of the fetus, placenta, and membranes through an incision in the portion of the uterus just above the cervix after which the uterus should continue to harden therefore tightening around the blood vessels that fed the placenta. The pituitary gland is enlarged during pregnancy producing oxytocin that stimulates uterine muscle and lactation.

Yes, I have Acute pain and Risk for infection as my diagnosis. All that is left to do is the pathology.

HELP, Instructor wants Patho on Care Plan for PP patient.
Thanks, unfortunately she had a scheduled c section, mainly because she had a previous c section. :-( So her body didn't even experience labor. :-(

HELP, Instructor wants Patho on Care Plan for PP patient.
Can anyone help me? I am finished with the majority of my careplan. The only section I have left is Patho/disease process... Well, Our instructor said I want to know what's happening in the body during this time. I have looked everywhere. I really can't find anything. Anyone have any ideas? My patient had a scheduled c section so I just can't wrap my mind around a patho.... Thanks

Dismissed from nursing program for taking a prescribed narcotic!
"That evening when i returned home I took another one and received a call from my instructor that "some meds had been stolen from the hospital" and I needed to take a drug test immediately." Am I to assume from your above statement that missing meds is why you were drug tested? Was anyone else tested? Was the medication missing the same as your prescription? If you were the only one tested due to stolen medicine I would for sure want to know why.

Would you sacrifice to be able to go to nursing school
I personally waited until my children finished school and moved out BUT I had a husband that acted like a husband. He is the larger provider in the house where as I supplied about 33% of our income. I felt like my children should come first . You have a little different story. Thats why I asked how old your children were. The LPN program is only a year and the RN program is designed to work around working people. Sounds like you can not depend on this guy for stability and support. In your situation, I would consider finding a way to finish so that you and your children can rely on you. If I have your guy pegged. He is going to become jealous of your independence and try to pressure you to quit. He isn't going to handle your success very well. If he were a good provider it would be different. He isn't so you have to step up and do what is best for you and your family.

Older Nursing students
Hi, I just turned 42 and was accepted into the lpn program starting in Aug.. My kids are grown (at least they have moved out and think they are). Now it is my turn to further my education. My rule is to do everything just the opposite as I did in high school. It is working great for me so far. Nice to meet my fellow non traditional students.
