Official nursing student fall 2011 stand up!!!

Published

I am so excited about starting the nursing program and thought it would be fun to see who else is excited!! Tell everyone what school you will be attending, what was your GPA, and TEAS score. Fall 2011 RRRRROOOOLLLLLL CCCCAAAALLLL:yeah::yeah::yeah:

I will be attending GPC, my GPA was 3.8, and my TEAS V score was 82%!

hmm.. I'm feeling a little less than up to par with you guys. I'm entering with a 2.98 (although I have two classes I'm taking now, so it should be higher) and I start August 22. Tomorrow is orientation:eek:. We don't do the TEAS at my school we did the NLN (we recently changed to the Hessi, but I was granfathered in with the NLN)

Congrats to everyone!!

I'm excited to be starting nursing school this fall!! I haven't received my official start date yet, but it will be late August. My GPA is a 3.5 and my TEAS V score was a 77%, and I would rather not say my college, but I'm going for my ADN. I'm ready, let's get it!! :D

I will be going to Bapstist School of Health Professions (Wife & several friends graduated from there, and I work for the system now) 3.2 GPA (3.8 in field) 88% on TEAS

:ancong!: way to go everyone.

I am attending University of the Fraser Valley (UFV), BC. My overall GPA was 3.33, and pre-requisites was 3.8. Initially my pre-req's were 2.67 and I had to retake half of them.

We do not have to take an entrance exam, but we did need:

Volunteer hours ~ 300

Standard first aid, and CPR-C: Had it and AED certification

Interview: must have done well hahaha.

Recommendations: I had 2.

Essay on why I want to be a nurse: Timed, had 30min to write.

It was nerve wracking as we all waited, but it was worth it!!! I already have my Shoes, Scrubs, and Stethoscope. I still need my amples of books, sphymomanometer, bandage scissors, and pen-light. I am sure I need more, but we don't get told mostly what we need until our first day.

YAY!! to all!

I just want to say congrats to everyone that was accepted into the Fall 2011 Nursing class at Calhoun Community College. I was beyond excited when I got my acceptance letter 2 weeks ago. I had a did a little jumping and screaming then I read the letter about 30 times. Yeah I'm thinking about framing it LOL!! Just kidding but seriously I was nervous. I have a 4.0 which is good bc I'm a full time student, but my TEAS score was a 78 and that had me worried. God has a plan though. I'm so excited.

Glad to see that everyone is so happy because I am dreading it just a bit! I'm doing a LPN to RN (ADN) program that starts next month. I had to take two test to test out of the first year of the RN program, now I have one year to go! I am excited but dreading the book work a little. Anyway, my GPA is 3.4 and I'm going to Murray State College, which is a local 2 year school.

Good luck to everyone!

Specializes in LTC.

I'm also a LPN going back for RN. I had only one more year to go, I'm going into my last semester next month. ! I'm super excited ! Being a LPN first makes the RN program a lot easier( or atleast for now). We are already familiar with many disease processes, medications, labs, and we are already nurses ! Yay for us !

Congratulations to everyone who will be starting Nursing classes in Fall 2011!!! Count me in as well! I just got the news last week Monday! I will be attending Bryant & Stratton College here in Milwaukee and I'm sooooo excited!! I also already have an Associate Degree in Business Administration that I just graduated with last October! I'm pretty sick of sitting behind a desk all day long on the computer and cannot wait to start walking around, taking care of patients, listening to different wisdom and words that people have to pass down, and getting to really know them versus just being their nurse.

I'm super excited!!

Again, CONGRATS EVERYONE!!!

:yeah::yeah::nurse: :nurse::yeah::yeah:

Congrats NurseLoveJoy88!! I know that has to be an awesome feeling!! I already have my Associates in Business but when I finish my ADN, I'm hoping to move on to the Bachelors and maybe Masters...I'm still contemplating the Masters though....:D

Congrats all. I start August 22. My GPA is 3.0 and my school doesn't require the TEAS. They require us to pass a dosage calculation test. Wooohooo!:D

Congrats... We start on the same day. We are almost down to the wire!!

Howdy! Congrats, fellow first semester nursing students!

:clpty:

I start on August 15th. I'm entering nursing school with a 4.0 GPA, after finishing all of my pre/co-requisites. I got a 15 out of 15 possible points on the HOAE, which is the entrance test and grading scale used at my school.

Yes, I am a crazed, maniacal over-achiever! I do want to be a nurse, after all!

Congrats!!! Yes, over-achiever is correct, but that is a GREAT thing, lol.

You are awesome, because out of all the apps your school probably received you made the cut and that is all that matters! Your orientation was really early.
