I am eating some stupid carrots. I don't want carrots, I want chips. Or brownies. Or anything that tastes better than carrots.

I don't want to eat healthy. I want to be fat and happy. Until I see a scale or a mirror and then I'm like "Ug, why did I eat that brownie? And those chips? And 6 cookies? And sushi?"

But seriously, carrots are the devil.

I just ate my unsatisfying lunch of steamed sugar snap peas and a piece of leftover meatloaf.

Ya know what woulda been better? Chinese food with a side of pizza.

I feel your pain. I just finished my lunch that consisted of baked plain salmon and steamed kale left over from last night. Not only is it healthy and taste like cardboard but it's cold! Wish I had ordered takeout but there aren't too many places open at 5am on the way to work:unsure:

Haha I see your a RN. What degree are you going back to school for? I'm guessing you told yourself the baked lays would offset the wings huh? Lol. I've done that. "I'd like a 10 piece wings, fries, & Diet coke". Lol.

That being said, for breakfast/lunch I just had lentil soup. Yummy!

Oh, yeah. Just had a super enticing lunch of a steamable bag of brussel sprouts and a small piece of chicken. I also got up early today to run 2 miles. I need to keep up the motivation to keep getting up early to run....

I have to do SOMETHING-- I feel like and resemble a ziplock full of gravy.

You go with your 2 mile run, girl!! But, brussel sprouts? Ugh, I don't think I've ever even had one of those. Can you put gravy or cheese on them??

On a happier note I've lost the 5 lbs I gained due to the bronchitis and sinus infection I've had over the past 10 days. Something about an Augmentin and prednisone cocktail that makes me lose my appetite. All I want is my diet lemonade. Now if I could just lose the other 15 I need to drop. Yeaahhh, right.

DH is home this week for the first time in 5 months and I have to cook dinner again. If I can remember how.

NanaPoo, Brussel sprouts roasted in the oven with olive oil, salt, pepper and finished with some good Parmesan cheese are amazing. I don't like them steamed or boiled at all, but roasted? Amazing. Especially with a little bit of crispy char on the outside....yummy. They're one of our favorite winter things...and they're even good cold as leftovers :)

EVERYthing is good roasted. My family has always done cauliflower this way and in the last few years we've had some extras for Thanksgiving who were RAVING about the roasted cauliflower since they'd never had it that way. Mmmmm

I think cheese or gravy would cancel out the calories I'm trying to save.

Really? I had to take prednisone once for a throat infection and I was RAVENOUS the entire time. I have about 60lbs to drop so I was trying to fight the urge to put food in my mouth all day long!
