Thank you for posting this. I imagine lots of opinions will be posted.

I'm glad the insurance exchange in my stste will have good offers starting October 1st. My daughter has been paying $40.00 a visit at a clinic since her employer cut her hours to 30 per week so they could stop her benefits.

I pray she doesn't need hospitalization before 2014.

I do not understand how a law- passed by the Congress of the United States - can be, in effect 'overturned' (technically, delayed) by the Executive branch. (I am not a fan of Obamacare, just to be clear) Could the President change other laws just be saying so?

This violates the Constitution and the separation of powers contained therein.

Hey, why not just go ahead and push it off until right after the 2016 elections? I mean come on. . . I am past ready for everyone to have health insurance but this legislation was poorly written, tossed together and run through. Why should the current administration have to bear any responsibility for anything (i.e. implementation) when they can just ride the wave of credit for having enacted healthcare reform and put off any nuts and bolts actual implementation to the next administration?

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) proposed expanding health insurance coverage by:
1) requiring states to offer Medicaid to people with incomes up to 138 percent (133 percent plus a 5 percent income disregard) of the federal poverty level (FPL), with most of this expansion funded federally; and

The delay will mean congresspeople and governors don't have to run on being anti aca. Meanwhile tens of thousands of people suffer through a crap economy without insurance. All for politics!

In a few years, the aca will go as Medicare itself originally went: every state will eventually join. They just don't know it yet. And it will be hugely popular and no one will know how we lived without it just soc security, Medicare, snap, cobra and hipaa. Thank you democrats.

Typical government messing with something good. Coming from Canada, we would defend our right to healthcare the same way Americans defend their right to bear arms.

To the above poster asking about overstepping the Constitution, the Government has been disregarding the Bill of Rights and the Constitution for years, it is nothing new. Until people start actually standing up for their rights, nothing will change.

I will stop here, hopefully this doesn't flag some NSA computer to investigate me.

This is EXACTLY what is going to happen to more people than we realize if not the majority of workers. Notice that the bill only applies to FULL TIME employees? What the heck was he thinking??
